Atomic City Cafe' LLC — Restaurant in Aiken County

A underrated gem. New in town. Small menu but plenty of choices. Clean establishment and friendly staff. Food was made to order and seemed prepared well. I ordered a Cheeseburger with Fries all the way. Both were pretty good. I'm not positive the burger was fresh ground chuck but I can forgive that, and I didn't ask. All the ingredients were fresh and had a good taste. Lettuce crisp. Generous onion and tomato slice and finished with ketchup and tomato. The standout of the meal were the side of fries. I have been to a lot of places in the area and this was one of the first I've been to in which the owner prepared the fries from fresh potatoes. You could tell they were not made from frozen fries but were fresh cut. I will say I prefer my fries a bit more "crunchy" but overall thats a minor complaint. Fries were generous, well cooked, and seasoned mildly.

I like to support the small business restuarants. Today we found great food at a reasonable price. I had the tilapia sandwich. Fish overflowed the bun, I cut in half to save for another meal and still had plenty My husband had the smokehouse chicken sandwich. (I tasted it too) That was very good also, great flavour. Best burger and fries in CSRA (not an exaggeration!!)...and the Tacos! Delish and so large it was all I could do to finish one. Am looking forward to trying the Fried Chicken and Smothered Pork Chop Buffet. May be the best...
