Had I not wasted my last $25 between coffee n a $9or$10 tip, I would of gone to Brainard (going the other direction? wait till McGregor roasting house, by far worth it) coffee is super sweet, this opinion comes from someone who likes 6shots of expresso in my drink. I don't do sweet I prefer bitter sweet, n I'm picky but I will right a coffee on my dime by purchasing more expresso n mixing myself because it's in no way the person making my coffees fault, strength comes from the coffee maker n beans. So when I get the attitude that I'm a bother because I come back in to BUY 3more expresso drinks cos I'm a picky uncaffinated tired soul who's taking what little positive I got to smile n b nice, I get a little upset... k maybe a bit more than a little. Full disclosure, I did toss the whole cup of too sweet $10 coffee outside the shop after biting my tongue apologizing 4being a bother n walking out in tears, I did however drive back by 2make sure the cup wasn't still there cos I don't believe in littering. When I told him it was too sweet n not bitter enough n I wanted to buy 3more expresso shots, the demeanor changed from when I first ordered, like I was insulting him... dude, not ur fault I'm terrified of a dentist n have such bad teeth I can't handle that level of sweet. Attitude n rudely handing back my change threw my little uncaffinated brain thru a loop. I would of loved to throw the attitude right back, maybe then I wouldn't of still been upset over an hr later but it's not me 2do so. And it's not the attitude that has me upset, irritated or disappointed, yes, but I still don't have coffee (had 2leave the house without coffee cos we're out of filters n stores arent open that early) n now no money 2get coffee and THAT is why I'm upset, cos I'm still uncaffinated. We all have bad days/moments but Yes I take my coffee...
Read moreShame on the owners and management for leaving 3 teenagers to run an entire coffee shop the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, not to mention the only coffee shop in the area. These poor kids were so flustered with the amount of people in the shop and clearly did not have the training or organizational skills to successfully manage the operation. It's not these children's fault that they were never trained on how to greet customers properly, how to even make coffee, or even handle food safely. There were multiple half-full cartons of dairy milk sitting out all over the counters - which is incredibly unsafe for patrons, which made me immediately not order any dairy products in the coffee. After waiting 20 minutes for coffee the poor barista warned me that the oat milk in my coffee was warm on the iced latte. ...what??? These kids haven't even been trained that you cannot pour the left over steamed milk from a previous drink onto an iced beverage. At that point I felt bad for the kids and said it's fine and left. Management...
Read moreWe live in the area and have been here several times. I've reserved doing a review. The coffee is good, every drink we have had we've enjoyed. That said, it always seems like something goes wrong. The communication is horrible. They dont greet you or talk to you in any way. (Yesterday, we stood at the counter for a good 5 min, while they were sweeping, no ill be with you in a sec, or hi there give me a minute..., and then when she came to the counter, there was no greeting, seriously we were stared at until we started speaking) It always feels like you're bothering them. The staff is disorganized and always seems flustered. It can be busy in there, so I can understand somewhat the chaos. We had 5 people after us given their drinks, while we waited for 1 drink. A little, hey, it's taking longer to make this one would have helped. Maybe it's the age of the staff or maybe it's lacking skills or training, but it overshadows the...
