Cafe Rewind — Restaurant in Akron

CALLING ALL FOOD ENTHUSIASTS AND GAMERS!!!! This is my first time trying this place and it’s absolutely amazing. I’m writing this review inside because i just couldn’t wait to get this off my chest. As soon as you walk in, you’re taken aback by the enchanting and mystical atmosphere. Video games all around classic and new, all FREE. The range of game systems here is truly breathtaking and very comforting. I could go on and on about the games, but you’ll be able to play them for yourself. Now onto the food. The food is simply delicious and light, I ordered the white knight noodle bowl (10/10) and my girlfriend ordered the sunrise noodle bowl(10/10). After finishing our food and d we feel great, not sluggish like most places. They have plenty of “elixirs” to raise your HP as well, all tried and true. They are ACTUALLY healthy, I cannot express this enough. Side note: we also tried their 4 cheese toasty and added a spicy fifth element, ghost pepper cheese. I cannot tell you how delicious this was. Garnished with garlic and herbs they really do go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy yourself. Of all my reviews this is probably my favorite. I live right by this place and it is definitely the coolest place by us in my opinion.

First the design. The main them is retro gaming. It has a lot of really cool artwork in and out. There are many various sectoral I’ve pieces inside such as swords posters and cool lights. Also I was told by one of the staff that the owner did a lot of the art themselves.

The food is amazing they have ramen and sandwiches. The ramen is very delicious and the ingredients seem very fresh. They have a good variety of both though they do not have a choice in noodles. They only have the more puffy doughy noodles though. The sandwich’s are amazing, I’m talking moaning while you eat good. They also always have good tea which I appreciate.

Finally if you are a retro gamer this is the place for you. They have arcade machines and three computers set up to play a whole catalog of retro games. All the systems are free to play at no extra charge. they also have a pool table which I usually come for that is themed red with my favorite light.

Wow- tried carryout from Cafe Rewind today, and was blown away. The Baroness brisket/grilled cheese was, no exaggeration, one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. Didn't really know brisket/cheese/lettuce could be this good. Seriously, I felt honored to be in the same room with this sandwich. My daughter had the Sunrise ramen bowl, and similarly raved. Although we did carryout (we live nearby, happily walked there) we took a few minutes to check the place out. Absolutely amazing. Game room - we'll definitely be returning for that. Stage for live acts - maybe not my cup of tea, but for sure appealing to a lot of folks. And the decor all throughout is simply stunning. I won't attempt to describe it, other than to call it eclectic, very artistic, inviting and fascinating. You must see it for yourself.
