So the chicken was pretty good, but the jojos were pretty mediocre.
The pizza was likewise not anything special, but it was very greasy. I'm also not sure how they think the size of that pizza was "large" by any means.
But the real issue was that we ordered, and they told us 20-30 minutes. When we arrived, they had multiple stacks of pizzas and stacks of pre-boxed chicken just sitting there, not even in warmers. They grabbed the pizza and checked from the bottoms of the corresponding stacks, and handed us that.
No, the boxes weren't marked with our name, just a "p" for Pepperoni and the chicken was marked with a size. They literally just handed us the oldest pizza, and oldest box of chicken then had in those stacks. They didn't make a fresh pizza to order for us, and I'm not sure why they claimed it was gong to take 30 minutes if they planned to hand us a random pizza and box of chicken upon arrival.
The pizza had clearly cooled further than desirable, leaving the cheese rubbery, the Jojos were soggy and tasted old, the chicken was the only part that was really in an acceptable state thanks to being buried under jojos and evidently being prepared well.
So if you want fried chicken, I'd say this is a good choice. If you like jojos, give it a pass. If you want a freshly baked pizza, again give it a pass. This is some Little Ceasers/gas station style "hot and ready" nonsense pretending to be...
Read moreI love the food. However, tonight I ordered one large cheese pizza and a side order of ten jojos. I sent my bf inside to pick it up. It ended up costing twice the price it should have been because they charged me for a box containing over 30 Jojos as well as chicken. I never once said anything about wanting chicken. Once I got home and realized this, we called to ask about the mixup and were told that "all ten piece orders of Jojos include chicken", which I know is untrue because not only does their menu contradict that, but I've been coming here for nearly thirty years. The lady that answered the phone was rude and said "this is how every order of Jojos came, do you understand?" Then abruptly hung up. My order should have been roughly $20, and I was charged over $40. According to them, this is what an order of 10 Jojos looks like. Mind you, I grabbed a plate full of Jojos before taking this pic because I was starving. Again...the food is great, but tonight the customer service was shit. I am willing to remove my negative review if the owner responds and is willing to...
Read moreI wish somebody would take the Ellet location employees to the Newton St. location and train them on customer service and presentation of a quality product. I called Ellet tonight to place an order and was met with a busy signal for over 30 minutes so I callled Newton. Not only was the young man who took my order very helpful and friendly, he didn't try to rush me off the phone or make me feel like an inconvenience to him. When I showed up to get my order I noticed they were fully staffed and it seemed that everyone had a specific job to do. Running like a well oiled machine in there. As if that wasn't impressive enough, my food was top notch. Not only were they generous with the toppings and wing sauce, I actually got more than 5 or 6 jojos in my box of chicken!! I will continue to drive the 3.5 miles to the Newton location from now on even though I live less than a mile away from Ellet. Take notes Ellet location. You're...
