I like to say 5 stars for the food but the rest... When we got there, there was only one family eating, one guy was waiting for take out and a child sitting by himself. Even though the child called out that there were customers, the server did not come out for another 10 minutes. It was a total of 20 minutes of waiting. The other people in my party were ready to leave. I saw that the mother of the one family sitting at the restaurant was changing the diaper of their baby. Disgusting. Don't know if there was a changing table in the bathroom or not. They left soon. We were ready to order. They didn't have the Shish kabab. We ordered Somsa, Kazan kabab, and in place of Shish kabab, we ordered Manti. The server brought us a donut bread and salad, which we assume was complimentary as we had not ordered it. The bread and salad were delicious. Each dish came at different times. Thank goodness as we were sharing the meals. Kazan kabab is a small lamb shank with a whole potato, it was juicy and delicious. That was the only dish that came. Then 10 minutes later came Somsa, a nice pastry filled with beef or lamb. Then we were told they didn't have Manti, so we had to pick another thing. Our server recommended the homemade noodle soup. While waiting, we got a dish of Norin for free to try. We also got the yogurt drink (Ayran? )and a red watery drink (Russian). The yogurt drink was good, but I would skip the red drink. Finally, we got our noodle soup. We were pretty full at this point. All the food we tried was very good. We got dessert on the house. The salad, drinks, desserts, and prices are not on the menu! When we got the bill, we were charged for the bread and salad that we hadn't ordered, but were only charged for two dishes. Trying to find someone to correct the bill was very difficult. Our server had disappeared, and no one else spoke english. The atmosphere is cold with white walls and cool lights and no music. Even though our server was nice, he lacked professionalism. There were children (belonging to the people who worked in the restaurant) who were standing on the half wall with their dirty shoes, Take out food was placed there. One kid was playing with the toothpick that customers were to use. I think the health department may have some issues. This is a family run business that doesn't know how to run a restaurant. Someone must be hired, and that knows how to run a business and not just how to cook. For now, the best way to experience the food is to pick...
Read moreIf you enjoy being ripped off, ignored, and microwaved leftovers passed off as food, then congratulations you’ve found your personal hell. From the moment we walked in, we should’ve turned around and sprinted. The place was a ghost town (now I know why), and the so called “server” was nowhere to be seen. We waited. And waited. Finally, we seated ourselves because clearly, customer service was on vacation. When she eventually floated out from whatever black hole she disappeared into, she asked if I wanted salad or bread with my Plov. I chose salad, thinking it was included because, you know, she offered it like a normal human being. Plot twist: it wasn’t included. It was sneakily tacked onto the bill. When I called her out, she gave me the most brain melting excuse: “Most customers forget to ask, so I just ask them.” WHAT?! That’s like handing someone a drink and charging them for bottle service. Absolute scam. Meanwhile, I kept hearing the beep of a microwave in the back like a hospital cafeteria on night shift. Yeah, nothing says “authentic cooking” like frozen food being nuked behind the scenes. By the end, we had to hunt her down just to pay. She finally emerged, phone glued to her ear, barely acknowledging us as we stood there waiting to settle the bill for this dumpster fire of a “meal.” Bottom line: This place is a joke. Don’t waste your time, your money, or your taste buds. You’d get more respect and better food from a gas station hot dog. Avoid...
