The Beanhead Brothers — Restaurant in Akron

First time visiting here was in October 2021 and I was very startled/shocked at the intimidating tripod thermometer invasively scanning my forehead for a temperature at 2inches away from my face just to enter the store.

This unlawful feature and invasion of personal space and privacy is enough to not go back here again until the owner(s) realizes they are violating laws by imposing this scanner on customers. I respect everyone's beliefs and feelings about the sensitive COVID issues of today, but this is unacceptable.

The store clerk/cashier was also incredibly rude upon entering as it took a while for the scanner to get a reading. I should've just walked out at the sight of this.

I'm sure their coffee is great (I got a smoothie that morning) and the environment looks very stylish and inviting, but I felt violated and very uncomfortable. I will not be returning...

My experience at Beanhead Brothers was phenomenal. As far as practicing safe & social distance they get an A+ they check your temp as soon as you enter into the coffee shop. You're greeted as soon as you walk in the door. Excellent customer service 👍. From the owner to the employees. Prices are very reasonable. Way affordable than some of the other coffee spots. They're menu is easy to read and they have everything from their signature coffees, tea, smoothies and very tasteful desserts. I love the atmosphere inside. Nice & clean almost like having the comfort of being in my home. With this being my first trip into Beanhead Brothers I haven't picked a favorite item yet. I'm excited to visit them again. Maaaaan! I just went to The Beanhead Brothers and I’m wondering if it’s too good to be true. lol. You don’t have to be a coffee-head to go and check them out. From deserts to pastries to tea to health drinks and shakes and more. The list goes on and on! Better than Starbucks. Fresh coffee! Amazing customer service...I mean, Lisa and Chevyn made me feel like we were besties! Showed me how to personalize menu choices. I needed decaf. I needed dairy free. I really needed sugar free but I wasn’t going there by choice today. Lol. Beautiful atmosphere! Oh! And I had the Santa with a sweet potato cheesecake. Woah! The Santa was great but this cheesecake is beyyyyyyyond amazing. What a way to start my day!!!!...
