If I could give this place zero Stars I would. Prices are so outrageous I couldn't believe it I even looked several things up online and it was cheaper brand new then what it was used at this restore. They should be ashamed of themselves this stuff was donated for free to them I'm disgusted I will never come here again. You're supposed to help the underprivileged not rip them off even more

The “habitat for humanity” on Romig Rd is a joke! They have used chase lounges for over $1,000.00!!!! Tables for $2,000.00 how is that helping any human? Whoever is pricing inventory here needs fired! They are not good at it. Everyone just go to wayfair online and u can get brand new beds and couches for less than they are here and it gets delivered to you.

Stop by to see what was available. Lots of decent used used goods... I'm in the market for lots of furniture and home goods... unsure if I will actually purchase used good vs new goods... great bargains if you're on a budget and considering the mix and matching options.

Very helpful staff, and as an area physical therapist who is always looking for home care adaptive equipment/mobility aides suchas walkers, canes, crutches, wheelchairs, bedside commodes, lifts, etc... the Romig Rd Restore had a lot of choices.

And while they may not all be for "pennies on the dollar" they are definately affordable and cheaper than even what some co-pays from insurance would be at "dimes on the dollar".

Even transfer tub benches (that insurances don't cover) that normally cost $160 new are well priced and inexpensive.

Lots of other good stuff for resale and definately worth stopping by if you need any furniture, doors, windows, fixtures, plumbing stuff, construction stuff. And like I said they have very nice staff who help load for you, been there 6 times now and week days definately were not as busy as the only Sat I went which was pretty busy.

Thanks to the "Restore" I am able to get home care equipment and mobility devices cheap and then donate them out to my patients who can't afford them or who's insurance won't cover the equipment. This inexpensive task turns out making a big difference in how safe some of my patients can be made in their home doing just very basic things (like going to bathrom or getting up to chair) that we who are more mobile take for granted.

I only mention this because if you are a reader of this and have any health care equipment you want to donate to habitat for humanity "Resore" on Romig Rd in Akron, I can guarantee that your donation would be a great benefit for our area's elderly and disabled who are on fixed budgets and maybe need what you have but can't afford it new or can't get insurance to cover what they need due to restrictive rules/policies. Your donated equipment (especially some of the rarer and more costly items such as Hoyer lifts, sit-to-stand lifts or wheelchairs) can make a big difference in helping our local areas elderly or disabled, who may be just borderline safe in their home, much more safer and reduce risk of falls and injuries related to mobility deficits, and therefore prevent them from injury, reduce pain during mobility caused by not having the correct devices to address their deficit and can even improve that person's quality of life.

Not a bad return on a donated walker, commode, wheel chair, or even grab bars..... You get the picture, thanks to all those who have already donated. I will definately be going back regularly to get things from the...

UPDATE: 3/7/25 Drew and upper management seemed really empathetic about the incident. Drew contacted me immediately to apologize for the way that the call was handled and for the item being damaged after purchase. He also let me know that he educated the staff concerning the need for care to be taken with items after purchase. This was the most important thing for me. I just wanted to make sure that the staff realizes that money is hard to come by, and if we use it to make a purchase there, just please use the same care as if it was there own item being handled and loaded, despite a waiver being signed.

I was also offered a full refund, but this was an item for my daughter, so I wanted to keep it. He did give me a partial refund. I feel better about the resolution of the incident.

I upgraded my review to 3 stars because of Maurice. Since this is the second negative encounter I had with Maurice, my opinion is unchanged as to his ability to effectively communicate in a respectful manner to customers. It is my hope that management addresses this with him as well.

I purchased an item for $160 and the workers treated it like it was trash. The item was exquisite and they laid it on its side on the concrete. I had to ask them to please move it off its side. Then I noticed it was heavily damaged. They simply thought an apology was sufficient. I asked for a credit or a repair and Maurice, the apparent undeserving manager was rude and unapologetic. The only thing he could say was did I sign a waiver. Then as I was talking, he interrupted me and was like okay just tell me what you want. I told him I want you to listen to me and act like you care about what happened to the item. He only offered a store credit for $25, not even $25 return of my money. I understand these items are used, but they shouldn't be thrown around and damaged more than when it came in. Maurice shouldn't be in...

this review is strictly for the donation pickup aspect. Hello! Do not donate items here if you want kind, fast help. I emailed well over a week ago asking about pickup for 2 items. Well at first it was 1 then I added a 1940s radio to it. The first item was a 20s or 30s China hutch. I asked, sent photos, got confirmation. In the afternoon of the 15th I was asked if the 16th was okay. I replied within 2 hours saying no it was too late. I need help to get the items out as I have fibromyalgia and can't lift well. They came anyhow. Banged on my door and left a post it. I emailed asking why they came and I did not like the fact they just showed up. i was then told it "was confirmed via phone" which it couldnt have been because i never got a call PLUS later on i was asked for a phone number because they didnt have one. (We communicated via email) i rescheduled for today, the 22nd. I put the items out late last night with the help of my fiance before he went to work. I had asked them not to knock this time as he will be asleep for work. They came at 11 and told me they couldn't take the items because they are wet. I took a tarp off of them at 9 so they wouldn't have to knock. Guess what they BANGED on my door loud enough for me to hear in the back bedroom with my door closed and tv on. when I have a doorbell. yes, from 9 to 11 they got wet. Its raining. I can't help that. however they werent soaked and could have easily been dried off. These are items in pristine condition that could've been sold for A good price even had the key for the cabniet still to lock. Now they will go on my curb. I wish I knew how to upload my ring video because it was all captured. When I said okay they just stood there and starred at me. What did they want me to do argue with them? no, the items will just go in the trash. Highly disappointed. Highly...
