First time at this establishment. Parking at rear of building. Limited spaces to park. Entrances located in front and back of building. Corner restaurant. Large facility. Pool tables, full service bar, stage, dance, lots of dining space. Server was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. Appetizer we ordered, deep fried alligator nuggets. For the price of $15, was not worth the small quantity. Served with homemade aioli sauce, nothing gourmet but was nice. Alligator was tender, breading was alright. Could've served a little more for the price. I ordered the jalapeno cheeseburger (with swiss). Double patty, was very very greasy which soaked the bottom bun. Jalapenos were pickled and barely a medium heat, not spicy whatsoever. Overall, the burger was a 2 of 5 stars. My boyfriend ordered the open faced brisket on Texas toast. Much smaller than we anticipated. One piece of toast, brisket dry however was alright overall, star rating a 3 of 5. Service was superb. Our server again was extremely wonderful and knowledgeable. We enjoyed her presence. Menu offered a lot to choose from. Daily specials offered. No craft beers on tap offered, only domestics (Michelobe Ultra, Bud Light, etc). Atmosphere was nice, spacious and reminds me of a Roadhouse. Would we visit again? Absolutely! We will try something different off the menu of course. Overall visit, 4 of 5 stars, only due to atmosphere and a great server. I do recommend a visit to this gem in the rough. Bon appetit and...
Read moreI finally made it in on a Thursday to order the burger special. Turns out it only applies to dine-in, not carry-out. I ordered one for carry-out anyway, I was hungry. I also ordered a margarita and a shot of Tequila to pass the time. I finished my Marg and Teq and continued waiting. about 40 minutes after I ordered, out came my Mushroom Swiss burger! Yay! $19 later, I was on my way. I got home and sat down to eat. I immediately realized why it took 40 minutes for a burger. That must be their cook time. It's a shame, too, because all of the ingredients were good. The burger wasn't just over cooked, it was tortured. Must have been on the grill for 15 minutes or more. The menu said 1/2 pound, and it may have been pre-cooked, but what I got was an 1/8 pound hockey puck. It turned to dust in my mouth. I'll give them an extra star for everything but the wait time and the patty, which is the entire reason I went here. I'll bet the burger would have been GREAT had it been cooked properly. I'm gonna give this place another try, I'll just ask for a medium rare burger next time. Like I said all the ingredients were good and the fries were fresh cut and good. Hopefully my experience was a...
Read moreI came in today. It's probably the worst service and worst food experience I've ever had from this place.I don't know what has changed, but that was ridiculous.I've been coming here for years. And the food was absolutely terrible The gator nuggets were overcooked.I already ate my whole burge Had to take the bacon off. It was so undercooked..I asked for crispy bacon. What I got Was anything but crispy any time I needed a drink. I would have to get up from my table and go up to the bar. Our server only checked on us once when we got there and ordered All she had to do was put her phone down and pay attention to the customers and she would have gotten a phenomenal tip. But the screen time was more important than...
