Ordered at 6:13 91$ order. They tell me 6:45 estimated delivery. 7:15 comes so I call asking about the order. They said it was stolen. I asked when they would send the replacement and they said they had to call to find out what to do. They said they could not refund me to call doordash. I didnt order from doordash so they told me to call the store. It is now 9pm, we have not had dinner still. No refund. No food. No apology. Asked to talk to owner but I was told "if she wants to call you she will". She didn't want to call. So they contracted with doordash then blamed doordash that they let somebody that was not doordash take my food. I still have not received an apology or a refund or my food. The owner doesn't care and the female manager was extremely rude and said multiple times it wasn't her problem. I ordered from hibachi express and s'mac. I don't understand how they are still open for 2 hours but somehow this is my fault thay they wont refund the food or replace my order. My fault for ordering from this place.
Edit in response to merchant: I threatened to call the police and post this review and drag your reputation online which are "technically" threats but completely within my rights to do to you, lying thief. You only refunded s'mac NOT THE HIBACHI EXPRESS ORDER. My 3 year old went to bed with bread and butter last night. You told me at 7:15 food was coming. You did not even agree to reissue the refund until after 8:15pm. You knew my 3 year old was hungry. You knew i was going to make this review ("threats"). You knew my wife was upset because my child was screaming for dinner you could literally hear her in the background.
By the way all of our calls are recorded. I said I would do everything in my power to legally inconvenience you and make sure others know what you do when 3 year old are hungry. You lie, ignore, insult, shift accountability, and steal from the parents of 3 year old. Where is my refund for hibachi? Weird. Still not processed.
Edited to add:On the phone with doordash all morning. They are very interested that you are blaming them for giving food to a thief without checking credentials and then blaming them. Our total order combined with all fees was 91$ We have received almost 49$. Where is our money?
Why did you lie for 2 hours saying food was coming just to cancel our orders and block our phone numbers? We recorded all the calls with you and the doordash driver that offered to stay to take our remake. She said you refused to remake it after an hour of waiting. She said you would not give her an answer and then she left after you canceled the orders. After 2 hours my 3 year old and no dinner and we STILL don't have our money. But proof and evidence that you are scummy is something we have in spades.
Double edit: owner called me screaming from a private number. Stay classy! Shaming me for ordering enough food because we got.a gift from a family member to order food... wow you must be proud. Many people that order from your restaraunt are trying to stretch ebt. At least you admit you cancelled.my order 3 hours from close while still taking new orders even though you are the one scamming based on texts from the driver that waited an hour. You backed down from "threats" to "threats of damage to our business" the only threat was this review and civil suit over 42$ and the pain and suffering of my 3nyear old after you deceived me multiple times. See you in court.
Final edit: they realized they didn't push the refunds. After calling and screaming at me, they pushed the refunds and now I have my money back. But only after every lie they told and shaming me. It's a shame, they had the best food. Never ordering from here again. Absolute...
Read moreI can count on one hand the number of times I've eaten something and truly been unable to describe how mind-blowingly good it is. This is one such time.
I'll start by saying that this place is rather hard to find. If you're looking for a big sign or LED banner for it you won't find it. I drove past it twice before I noticed the nylon sign hanging on the wall of a Hibachi Express. S'MAC and Cheese is inside of that hibachi express (see photos).
Inside is simple, with a few tables and chairs if you would like to sit down and eat there. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by an incredibly sweet, cheerful woman who patiently showed me all the options on the menu and attentively took my order. She even sat down with some of the diners to ask for their feedback and if there was anything they could improve with the recipes, which is wonderful to see. The genuine care this woman showed for her customers and creating the absolute best food she can, is refreshing.
I went with the make your own, which is $16 for a large with crispy chicken. But BRING CASH. While they do charge 4% for using a card, they actually go above and beyond by DISCOUNTING your entire purchase by 10% if you pay cash. So a massive, 1.5-2 pound bowl is only around $13.50, which is amazing value for two whole meals worth of food (see size comparison to hand in photos)!
But how did it taste? As I said, I was at a loss for words. I'm a major foodie, professional home chef with a cooking and cocktails live stream, and have tried Mac n cheese all over this country. But this place blew my mind...the noodles were perfectly cooked and cheesy, with a huuuge layer of melted cheese crust on top. Normally this gets dry or too burnt, and can detract from baked Mac n cheese, but not here.
The savory and sweet drizzled sauces (I went with Mango Habanero) liven up the heavy cream and dairy, compliment the protein options perfectly, and even give the free vegetable toppings a deceptively healthy salad kind of taste, while the bowl still remains the most decadent comfort food I've ever had.
I could not stop saying "Oh my god...how??" as I took bite after bite. I was full after only finishing about 60% of the bowl and already can't wait for it.
Do yourself a favor, and try what is without a doubt, THE BEST Mac n cheese you will ever taste. Go all out. Get all the toppings, try different sauces, and indulge. Whether it's for dinner or the ultimate hang over cure, this is a place you are going to want to experience and a gem you'll want to tell others...
Read moreSimply, the best macaroni I’ve ever had.
Macaroni: this macaroni is second to nothing, really, the portion sizes are wild-the chicken covered in the sauce and the extra cheese on top with the crispy edge. It is perfect. I’m a simple guy though, I see macaroni and I order macaroni.
Again, macaroni is the comfort food of choice. By far, by far, by far, the best food I’ve had, right next to bang-bang shrimp from BoneFish.
I came for the Macaroni, now I come back because of the service, the people and that mean bowl of S’Mac.
One day, I was waiting a bit longer than usual-I wasn’t complaining, however somebody noticed and they gave me a free drink and a discount code for my next order.
Most recent time-it was national Mac day and I invited a couple friends to go with me and we all get out of the car, the owner recognizes me and I tell him why we’re all there, haha… We go inside, I pick up my order and the girl says “The lead chef tells me to offer you all a drink of your choice.”
Matthew, my buddy and I, we have loved macaroni since we were little boys-Kraft and Velveeta, of course, but this stuff is different-This is me introducing the spot to him on national macaroni day. (I’m the fro dude, he’s the other one).
I found this place by searching for food near me, I’m a university student who moved away from home and I struggled to find a food spot that could rival my mother’s cooking-also, campus food usually sucks.
Anyway, I ordered my first Mac bowl in the beginning of summer and let’s just say… now, I’ve gained about four pounds (100% because of the bowl).
I tell all my friends about it; Nathan, my roommate, he gets it more than I do now.
This is what a business should be, I...
