Meow Bao — Restaurant in Akron

We have been waiting with great anticipation for this restaurant concept retooling and we were not disappointed with our first carryout order this evening! Online ordering was super easy and our food was ready right for pickup on time.

We shared the corn riblets and, OMG, these are absolutely heavenly. I will order these again and again. He had the pork bao buns and says very good with just the right amount of sauce and the buns were pillowy and perfect. He also had a side of kimchi collards. Spicy! In the good way and cooked perfectly. I had the tofu noodle bowl and loved the delicate spices and it had plenty of high-quality tofu.

Cute but cozy space, only seats a small number for dine in. Love the decor - music & cats everywhere. The food is served in to-go containers for everything which I think ruined the ramen. It was lukewarm. I appreciated the crispy chicken ramen has the chicken packaged separate so you don’t lose its crisp. Taste was pretty good honestly. The tofu ramen was not a hit, felt like it was lacking some flavor in the broth. Crispy chicken bao buns also not a fave… the description sold them as this bursting with flavor and spiced ordeal, but it was meh.

Overall, nice place but maybe it’s better to go so you can warm it...

We've been very excited for this opening, and it will definitely become a regular dinner for us! We got takeout, and everything was hot and delicious. I got crispy chicken ramen and I really really appreciate that they packaged the chicken separately so it stayed crunchy. My partner got pork and chicken bao buns and they were also both phenomenal. Fluffy bao with interesting toppings and just the right amount of sauce. And the person working the register today was so happy and kind. This place is gonna be insanely busy once people...
