The employees at the Highland Square location are honestly so rude and miserable. I understand working in fast food is not the most wonderful thing, but the people who work there are mean! Flat out. I work in hospitality so I know it can be hard. I try to be kind to people I cross paths with and they seem upset you came in let alone spoke to them. Like, what? Dude, I’m just saying hello, asked how you were. Sorry, my bad. This is not a once in while thing. It’s the vibe nearly every time. It’s so common that it’s strange when you do get that one employee who is nice. Anyways, I’ve lived in the area a while. it’s convenient and when it’s good, it’s good. But it has definitely gone downhill over the years, quality of the food and the service. I’m not one to leave reviews because honestly, I don’t care enough to do so lol but today was the last straw. This location needs someone to come in and work with the employees. Simple customer service goes a long way. New management maybe. I understand they must have some annoying, rude people come through there but come on…you can tell when someone is being a problem and when they’re not. Act accordingly. They act like people coming in and ordering food is an inconvenience for them. I am writing this review in hopes of a change at this location, because after what I experienced today I will not be going back. Which really sucks because I like chipotle. Just not what you have to deal with to get it. And you HAVE to go in because if you order online 9 times out of 10 there’s going to be something wrong. This review is mad long, but y’all get the gist. If you want chipotle that’s consistently good (warm, not sloppily thrown together)and where you don’t have to deal with attitude to get it, go elsewhere. I usually only want chipotle when I’m being lazy and montrose is a bit too far to venture out just for chipotle, in my opinion. But, if it’s worth it for you, go to Montrose or portage...
Read moreFirst time at Chipotle! Another coworker suggestion, but this is one I will visit again. I got a chicken fajita bowl. It was definitely good and fresh. And despite the long line to the door, the employees were friendly and attentive. As I waited in line, I watched them work. There was no chaos, no angry faces, no yelling or attitudes. Just a well oiled, efficient machine. Everyone seemed to have their specific tasks, and the food stayed full and the line moved right along. As I travel for work now, I see a lot of restaurants in their busiest times. It is normally not even in the realm of efficient, and chaos is the word that I feel would best describe the environment behind the counter. And usually even though the food is fresher during those times, the chance that your food is incorrect or just thrown together with the burger and cheese half off the bun is about 75% higher. That was definitely not the case here, and the only "complaints" that I could find would be the cleanliness of the dining area and restroom. And in this situation, with as busy as they were, I'm not even certain that is a complaint, as they were clearly assisting customers and each other, not out back smoking by the dumpster or anything. Also I have any addiction and it is called Chipotle lemonade. That's stuff is amazing! Great job to all the employees who worked lunch at the 825 W Market Street, Akron OH location from 12-1, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT AND DESERVE RECOGNITION!! Thanks for making my lunch, and many others, enjoyable, healthy and delicious. A meal can change your entire day, and you guys determine whether that's better or worse. Mine was great, and I definitely appreciate you...
Read moreSo last evening(7:15-ish), I went to get my fiance and I sofritas and carnitas bowls because Akron couldn't seem to keep the electric on in the Highland Square area, AGAIN. Anyways, they had a line out the door. I was a cook for 25 years, 2.5 of that at a Chipotle location. The staff here, though young, was focused and constant and did an amazing and extremely professional job. One customer, and you know who you are, was very rude to the cashier who was helping to make an order, switch out pans to bring fresh food out, helping the 1 and only young lady making all the orders.(and to the young lady making the online orders - wow and great job!!!) So to the cashier, good job, thank you, and you should be proud of yourself. The rest of the staff was very solid - though VERY busy - and not expecting that many orders, I'm sure, were calm, polite, and smooth. So, props to y'all too! You see folks, if you've never worked in the food business, you don't get it. It takes a certain type of person to do what they do-so don't be rude because you think you're above them. Remember, us food workers worked every day during the height of the pandemic, were forced to police masks, risk getting sick, and forced to listen to the absurdity and rudeness of people whom think they're privileged, above others, or just plain inconsiderate. As for the rude customer last evening at about 7:30 pm; what if that was your son or daughter working? Hmm? I sure hope you don't talk to your kids, parents, spouse, or...
