Talamo's Pizza — Restaurant in Akron

I went to the Bank Lounge early afternoon on a Saturday. My friends and I were hungry but the bar was not serving food yet. We decided to get a couple of sandwiches, some jojos, and a medium barbecue chicken pizza from Talamos and have it delivered. The bar is literally a couple of blocks down the street. A man taking my order acted irritated that he had to deliver it and like he didn't know where it was. When I got my pizza it had marinara sauce instead of barbecue. I immediately called back and was told they were very busy and it would be a couple of hours. Since I didn't have my car and I live close by as well I said that I could call back in a couple of hours when I got home. When I called at about 8:15 I was told that they were getting ready to close and that if I didn't have the other Pizza he would have to charge me. They don't close until 11 on Saturdays, so they basically just didn't want to be bothered and make my order correct. Obviously, customer service means nothing to them. I was going to order more food too and would have picked it up. Also, each time I ordered from there in the past I always wait to pick up until a few minutes after they say it will be ready. I still end up waiting almost every time at their weird pick up window because you can't go inside. I will never order from there again. Too bad I have to mark at least one...

I was in town to visit family and found them online. I was able to just pull up to the drive thru and pick up my order. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure that my family got the toppings that they wanted. We ended up choosing a deluxe pizza. The pizza was so delicious that I ended up coming back the next day. This time I ordered spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms on ranch pizza. This one was delicious too.

I ended up talking to the guy in the front and found out that him and his partner are new management. They both ran a successful pizzeria in south Florida and just took over this business. He mentioned that they had a lot to clean up in the beginning but now the place is spotless and business has been booming.

With pizza like this, I can definitely see why they have so much business. I just can’t stop coming here, the food is great and the prices are amazing.

Our family just ordered for the first time, and we are all pleased. We got an X-large cheese pizza and an order of jojos along with their garlic sauce. The garlic sauce got my wife and I excited because there’s a place we used to frequent that isn’t in business anymore, and they had a mayo-based garlic sauce that we loved but have not been able to find a replacement since. So I’m thrilled that this garlic dipping sauce is very good. Highly recommend it with the jojos. I can also be very picky with my jojos, but they were exactly the way I like them - perfect amount of crisp and the perfect amount of soft potato. Definitely a winner. The pizza is quite tasty - especially for the price. I expected the cheese to be skimpy because it’s a $10 X-large special, but this thing definitely was not needing any more cheese. You can see in the pic. So yeah. I can’t find anything to really complain about here.
