Huddle House — Restaurant in Alabama

Upon entering the establishment it was clear there had been a rush earlier. Most all tables were dirty, either still full of dishes or just dirty with crumbs,etc. There were two employees, a cook and a server. So far any problems could be overlooked due to being short handed.

My son ordered chicken tenders and fries. I ordered a patty melt with a side salad. The chicken tenders were a little over cooked and hard. My salad was wilted and I was unable to eat it, someone else may have been alright with it. My patty melt smelt so good but the meat had an off taste to it. I took it home to try it again in case it was just me but even later when I tried again to eat it I couldn't due to the off taste. All of this was disappointing due to Huddle House being one of our favorite restaurants. The employees were very nice and tired.

I hope to have a better experience the next time we try Huddle House. I'm my opinion this particular location could use some attention. The bathroom was the highlight of the visit as it was bigger and...

I would have given it 5 stars but the cook forgot the bacon on my burger on the first visit and made the wrong sandwich on the second visit. However even with that we were so impressed with the service we decided to make this our regular meeting spot. And the fact that we can sit in there and smoke just made it that much better. Our waitress Christy is AWESOME to say the least. I was impressed with the team work and speed of service. I would rather give a bad review so that our table is always available when we decide to drop in. But I'm told we have to share. We ate here August 3rd for breakfast around 10am on a whim and couldn't have been more pleased! Waitress was friendly and very attentive. They were very busy and the food still came out within a reasonable time frame and it was THE BEST Huddle House breakfast I've had in all of the 15 years I've been eating here. There was only one cook working his butt off and everything was PERFECT! Scrambled eggs were light and frothy and the bacon was cooked to perfection! Hasbrowns, packcakes- everything was PERFECT! Give that cook a raise, he knows what he's doing!!! We will be back for breakfast, hopefully with the same cook! 10/10...
