Nawlins Style Po’Boys — Restaurant in Alabaster

The restaurant brought the food truck to our church. We waited in line for an hour. There are a lot of people at our church. When I received my food ( an order of whiting fish) , I took a bite and the fish was so delicious, flaky, and flavorful! So today while out I remembered the restaurant. I couldn’t wait to get some more of that delicious fish. I waited 30 minutes for it to be prepared. I got home and broke off a big piece of the fish!!! I threw it in my mouths expecting those delicious flavors! I spit it out , it tasted fishy and lacked seasoning. It tasted like something you would get from a e home. I called and spoke with a man who identified his self as Cory. I asked him if this was yhe same restaurant that came to our church and he said yes! I felt like I was being punked! This was the same place that served that delectable fish? I shared with Cory about my food being bland and fishy taking. He said they only season one side of the fish. He offered no resolution. My wife and I tried this new spot out for the first time. She thought they had a roast beef Po’boy, but they did not. She got a hamburger Po’ boy instead. It did not disappoint. She finished it without taking a breath. I had the Nawlings Shrimp Frychos. It’s a basket of deliciousness. I got the large… probably not the smartest idea. It was way more than I needed, but I just couldn’t stop eating it. Fries, fried shrimp, cheese (a lot of cheese), and japs with some cajun seasoning. I ate it 30 minutes ago and I’m still licking my lips. I don’t know if was the seasoning or the cheese or what, but whatever it was, it was GOOD. I recently visited Nawlins Style Po’Boys and tried the Cheese Steak Po’Boy with seasoned fries. The food was fantastic! It came out hot and fresh, and the flavors were absolutely delicious. The seasoned fries were perfectly crispy and paired well with the sandwich.

The atmosphere definitely gave off a New Orleans vibe, which added to the experience, but it could use a little work to feel more polished or immersive. However, it’s still a great spot to enjoy a casual meal.

The service was decent and fast. The staff answered any questions I had and ensured everything was good, which I appreciated. Overall, it’s worth a visit for the food alone! I’d definitely come back for...
