This is my first review ever because I don't usually leave them. Long story short, I placed an order online, went to the drive thru, the girl at the window said she threw my receipt on the trash, which was fine I just throw them away myself, I was told to park next to a Tesla and did so, the proceeded to wait. I was waiting 30 minutes when they brought out someone else's order and I told them which order was mine. Then waited another 15 minutes before going inside. There were some people ordering in front of me so I waited another 15 minutes. I didn't yell or complain because they don't get paid enough to deal with irate people. I told them I had been waiting an hour and hadn't gotten anything. They asked to see my receipt so I showed them on my phone since my paper receipt was not given to me. They then said "that's the receipt" to which I was given no explanation. They did start to make my order right then. No apologies. No acknowledgement of how long I had been waiting. No complimentary dessert item. Nothing. The whole time I felt like they were trying to avoid me. After I was given the last of my order, there was still no acknowledgement of anything. Not even a "have a good day". The guy gave me my drinks and bolted back to the back.
I get it, it's McDonald's, but the fact that there was zero ounce of customer service other than actually giving me the food I had been waiting for for over an hour by the end of it all was what really got to me. No sorry. No acknowledgement of my time lost. Literally nothing other than the food that was cold and a burger with a bun that was hard...anyway. that's my experience. Take it for what it is. I worked retail most my life and just would never treat people the way she did. We got here from out of town tried to go thru drive thru was told it was closed to come inside. I came inside where I was then told she could not place my order she had no register and no access to safe. I tried to explain I need someone to take order as I can't add sauce on the app. She rudely said just order and telle and I will add it. She was rude to every other customer that came in as I sat there on my app doing my order. After I placed order I had to say excuse me three times for her to acknowledge me. She was very cold and rude. While there a young lady asked for refill and he took the ladies cup the manager then yells at him rudely to never take customers cup to give a new or fill it from a new cup. I understand but she was also very mean to her employees... After getting my food (that was honestly amazing fresh fries and burgers mad as I asked form the two amazing employees) where I could only order 2 sweet and sour I asked if I could have two more. She said it $35 a piece... Real nice as you can't ring me up.. this new self serve where you can't get any help and such a rude women that clearly hated life and just need a hug or something but no way will I visit this McDonald's and if ever any other. I have thousands of points that that can have them. Not worth it if this is how they treat people. They could learn from scooters (same city Gainesville)as they go above and beyond for a customer and treat people with...

They don't verbally curse people out, but their nonverbal body language speaks loudly. I went in late at night after work to buy food because it was late and when I ordered my food and eventually received it, the employee gave me a torn up cup and I knew if I used it the lid wouldn't stay on, so I asked for another one politely and she had the nastiest look on her face that said it all. Without saying a word, she just took the cup and gave me another one. I didn't want to start any confrontation so I just politely said thank you and she just ignored me leaving the counter. I could hear a customer from behind me laugh because they could tell she was annoyed too, so I knew I wasn't just hallucinating her bad attitude. Never again will I go back to that McDonald's. I do NOT recommend anyone go there either. The employees just make you feel agitated after leaving the restaurant. I understand working at a fast food place is annoying and you get rude customers all the time, because I'm a cashier too, but I would never be rude as a customer or as an employee.
