WORKERS. Workers think they are better than you. The first time I ever came to the store, I put some high value cards into my binder and asked to see if they would buy any of my cards. One of the workers pulled out all the multiple hundred dollar valued cards and said that he wouldn't even comp them and just give me a buck a piece for them out of good faith😂. And then, after that, I showed him a card I was going to submit for grading, and after looking at it for about 30 seconds, he said it wasn't worth submitting because there was a "mark" Across the back of the card, which no one in my group could see when he tried to point it. After telling me, it wasn't worth grading He took the next 20 minutes while I was looking around the shop to keep convincing me just to sell it off to him. Ended up coming back at BGS 10😭. Had a friend try to sell some cards there and they offered him not even 50% on high valued cards... He then had his girlfriend go with the same cards a few weeks later, and The offered her a higher percentage, even though the market price went down. Just overall the workers think that they are so special like they're celebrities or something and they have some kind of weird complex where they think that they're better than everyone in the store and they were insanely rude...
RESEALED PACKS
After seeing the past reviews before I wrote this review, I should've been suspect of this, but it seems like the store is definitely resealing packs every now and then. Last month, which was my last purchase I bought a $500 booster box and when I opened it, I could clearly see glue residue all over my packs. I called the store and he kept telling me over the phone that there is nothing that he could do and I was just trying to get my money back after not pulling anything good or that I could just bring Resealed packs of my own. After telling him that I have spent hundreds of dollars at his store, why would I Complain now about them and he said to bring them in so he could check them. I live 45 minutes across town and went there three times just to be denied every time I went for say to that they were too busy to look at it or that the person I need to talk to you is not in store at the moment.
I want you guys all to read this review to take a look at all the bad reviews that the store has gotten and look at the owner's response. He is continually trying to guilt trip "You're just trying to ruin a small business here and shame on you" And stuff like that. No response has the owner ever taken responsibility for their mistake mistakes. The owner will also probably just reply to this review, saying that he denies my claims and whatever, but why would I take the time to write about the store if I have not experienced these bad intances with them. I definitely think that their store needs to be investigated. And the people who work here need a reality check😂

If i wanted to complain about opening a bad box id complain about eveything ive boughten😭dont u think? I called and said the booster packs in the box had glue residue on them, like strings of dried glue. You then tell me that sometime white powder get on the plastic seal wrap from you shirts when you unbox them... HOW DOES THAT LEAVE DRIED GLUE ON THE PACKS??🤣🤣🤣thats the moment i knew you guys were not a true store. And actually i did come in the store, and was told to wait an hour for help... when there was no other customers in there. Coincidence? I think not. The owner just tried to plah victim. Just look at the other reviews like mine. Im not the only one who has gone thru this. Stop trying to play victim and own up to your lying and mistakes. "Trying to hurt a local store whos doing it right". They just reseal stuff every now and then and if ur like me and gets unlucky with it they claim that "cant trust cause it left the store". Read moreThis shop ONLY cares about the $ and the bottom line. They like to call there followers "FAMILY" but thats far from true. If "FAMILY" was the case the they would of never did me wrong (F'ed me) I have spent hundreds of dollars with this shop on there IG live and It used to be all good. UNTIL today, they sold some cards that I already paid for to someone else.
We made a deal as it is recorded on there IG live, they said sold to me then I left the live to pay and when I come back they resold my cards to someone else. THATS BAD AND SHADY BUSINESS!!! Instead of telling the 2nd runner up that it was ALREADY SOLD they straight up sold my cards that I ALREADY PAID FOR.
If you are familiar with the IG live sales it moves fast and you have to act fast to get the deal at hand. They will ask everyone for immediate payments as they do not want to hold the live up due to unpaid purchases, THIS IS WHAT I DID. I had to leave the live to go and pay and rejoin the live once I have paid (Unless you are on 2 devices, which I was not, I was on my phone)
To my surprise when I returned to the live to make more purchases I had the pleasure of watching them sell the cards I JUST PAID FOR! When I mentioned I already paid they said they waited 4 mins and 29 seconds for me to pay, well it took me longer than 4 mins and 29s to pay and return to the live. They did not once care for the fact that I have been a loyal customer of theres and have spent plenty of $ with them over the last year or so.
This is very uncommon for this shop to give such little time for someone to pay for a item, on average they will wait 30 to 45 mins for someone to pay as they will continue to call out the person's name for non-payment. BUT this time they could not wait 5 mins for me to pay and return when I have NEVER ONCE made an agreement with them and not followed through. (I also almost always send payment as a gift so they net more $ and don't pay fees)
I proceed to DM them that I wanted a refund and waited a whole hour for a reply and got nothing. Once they restarted the new live I jumped back in asking for my refund and they simply said they will get to it when they are done (thats 2/3 more hours i'd have to wait) with the sale. When I tried to tell them that is not fair and I should be refunded now (they already had a 20 min break in between the lives (but they expect me to pay in 4 mins and 20 secs) that was not enough time) At this time they (THE OWNER) laugh at me and publicly try to humiliate me on there live IG feed all while letting there followers call me names, use profanity directly towards me and even threaten my life!!! ALL OVER A LITTLE REFUND THEY WOULD NOT SEND ME AFTER SELLING MY ALREADY PAID FOR CARDS THEY SOLD AFTER TAKING MY MONEY
I was now being treated like a unwanted step child as they did not care about me or my hard earned $ that I choose to spend with them on the regular, nor cared to stop the bullying on the IG live from there other followers. Don't get me wrong this is NOT about the $ it is 100% based on the lack of good business practice and making sure as a business you do what is RIGHT not what nets you a quick buck. Its understandable that this hobby is growing by the day and me as 1 person loss is not a "big deal" to them but I did want to make sure other future customers know what they are getting into with Meelypops.
Sad to say I really enjoyed my time being a customer of Meelypops up until they showed there true colors. Yes there are a thousand other card shops and breakers now more than ever & I guess its my fault for thinking a independently owned business would care about its...
Read moreI've been following MeelyPops for a few months on various social platforms. Having recently gotten into the sports card hobby again, I've learned a ton from their streams and videos. In the time that I have been following them, I've watched multiple different types of sales and I can honestly say are the most fair and honestly priced seller for single cards (raw and graded) and for sealed product on the market. I recently bought a hobby box on one of their Sunday night streams, had it opened live, and it was shipped out first thing Monday am. It arrived at my doorstep Wednesday afternoon, packaged how I package any card I send out. I live on the east coast (so transit time shouldn't be that long in general), but man, I was astounded how fast it got here. I've bought off of multiple other sellers on various apps/ebay/facebook, etc...and can honestly say I have never had a better experience than I did with the folks at MeelyPops. I strongly suggest if you are getting into the hobby and want to learn, or you just want to get great deals on product, buy from these folks.
