A&W Restaurant — Restaurant in Alamogordo

Today, November 12, 2018, my family and a family from my church planned a trip to Alamagordo because it was the nearest A&W to us and we love their root beer and burgers. Cashier and helper had great attitudes and service with a smile. The cook on the other hand was horrible. When the cashier called out the order, the cook rolls his eyes and begins to throw/ slam things around. Our friends received their food first, their fries weren't fresh so they asked the help for another order, cashier called it to the cook to drop fresh fries in, and less than a minute, they were given fries, obviously the old fries were lowered into the hot grease and given back. She again asked for fresh fries, at that point the cook yells " they are fresh!" The cashier and helper looks embarrassed and direct us to the back of the receipt where we can take a survey about our experience. I didn't even want to look at my food let alone eat, not knowing what he'd done to it. We will not be returning to this...

We stopped to get two hamburgers, fries, and root beer. We got the food, and parked in the parking lot to eat. The Hambugerd were very greasy, the meat was not cooked, and juice from the meat made the buns soggy. I went inside to return the hamburgers, they remade them for us. When I got back to the car, my boyfriend said that the fries were cold and tasted like they were cooked in old grease, that the rootbeer had no flavor at all. I was going around to the back window to give our dog some hamburger, and she sniffed it, turned her head away. My boyfriend took a bite of his, and said that it didn't taste right. I took a bite and it tasted bad. It was rotten meat. We threw all of it away. Don't go there, save your money, and your tastebuds from this...

METH. Can’t explain the terrible service any other way. Either that or I was getting punked by Ashton Kutcher. Thought the intercom was acting up because employee could not understand that I wanted a number 1. Same issue when drove up to the window to talk in person. Employee was completely brain dead. I ended up politely driving away when they said they were out of root beer. Never posted a review before but this was by far the worst service I have ever had and I really wanted a and w that day.
