Tl/Dr: Messed up our order. Fixed it. Mediocre at best. Garlic bread wasnāt even worth trying. 2/5 wonāt be back.
Decided to try Pizza Mill for the first time after hearing some good things from coworkers. Sadly disappointed. Ordered over the phone, Garbage barge (no olives) and a garlic bread with cheese, and then picked up at their drive up window. Got home and realized the garlic bread with cheese was 3 small-medium pieces of toast with garlic butter and a tiny sprinkle of mozz. That costs $6.75? Thatās $2.25 per pieceā¦absolutely not worth it. Then opened the pizza to find it covered in olives. Headed back to the restaurant to get it fixed. Was greeted quickly and I explained the issue with the pizza. The gentleman reviews my ticket and says that whoever took the order didnāt write āno olivesā but they could remake it, although it would take about 20 mins. They were busy and thereās a lot of toppings on the pizza so 20 mins was reasonable. Decided to wait it out because we really wanted to try this place. I then brought up the issue with the garlic bread and asked if this is how they normally make it, with only a tiny bit of cheese and the gentleman helping me simply refunded the $6.75 in cash (did not refund the tax but whatever, itās like 67Ā¢). You could tell he was frustrated, but i get it (i guess?). I took my cash and went and waited for my remake pizza. Bought a fountain drink for $2.50 while I waited. Saw a bunch of food come out while I waited and none of it was pizza (mostly sandwiches it seemed). Was curious why no one was getting the pizza but I soon figured out why. Got my pizza in like 18 mins. The guy who brought it out apologized because heās the one who took the order and I explained it was fine and things happen, we were just excited to try this place. Got home and dug inā¦Pizza was mediocre at best. With so many different toppings Iām not sure how it tasted so bland. Everything just fell flat when it came to flavor and freshness. Basically just saltiness from the meat and a crunch from the crust. You can also tell they were in a rush to remake it and get it out of the oven, probably couldāve used another 3-5 mins baking to finish off the toppings. Or maybe throw it in a broiler to finish off so you donāt over cook the crust? The crust was decent, very crispy and cracker like, and was basically the only good thing about this. But manā¦for a $25 medium pizza this was sad. Maybe a simple pepperoni would be betterā¦still not sure as the sauce lacked flavor and the cheese was barely enough to cover the pizza (see photo for all the open red spots across the pizza where thereās no cheese). Unfortunate experience at a small town pizza joint that we were very excited to try. Will try out somewhere else and wonāt be back here any time soon unless they...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreif you want to be treated like a second class citizen when ordering over the phone, please call this number to the Pizza Mill. I had called the number to place an order to go and with proper introductions over the phone. You state "Hi there, my name is" And I'll even put my name on the line. I stated " hey there, my name is Kenneth Muna" And I was met with whatever you're selling. We don't want it. So these children that the manager is allowing to answer the phone. Don't know proper introductions and become hostile when you properly introduce yourself over the phone. All I had wanted was the honey sriracha pizza and a large pepperoni pizza for me and my wife. And I was met with hostility and a lack of customer service and a lack of basic human communication. I was treated like if I had done something wrong, by calling and asking to have a pizza to go from a pizza joint that has been a staple in this town for years. Whoever this kid was needs to be fired. They need to never be rehired in customer service because they lack the common human decency to answer a phone with proper manners. And I hope my position as a Google guide will show everyone what they are up against trying to order a simple pizza because this type of interaction is upsetting. And a family-owned business that I've known for years to treat me this way is appalling. Also when I get home because I am at the store right now and finalize my updates. My phone records everything so I will post the recording of this kid treating me like a second class citizen over the phone so everyone may hear what they...
Read moreWell where should I start....As soon as we walked in it was about an hour til closing, tables were still being occupied by customers and when we get to the counter we were greeted with the look of disgust and attitude. We should have left right then and there, but my two boys wanted pizza (ages 7 &11). First thing out of the cashiers mouth was "if you order pizza it's going to take about an hour and you're going to get your food in pizza boxes." I think they should have just said we don't serve your kind around here or we don't want to serve you or even hey were closing already....instead the attitude and disgust continued by the cashier as I continued to order. Got our pizzas within about 25-30 minutes from the time I ordered them and they were n ot all that great....under cooked and the dough was mushy compared to the people we were sitting with their's looked fairly decent and had some crunch to it when they would bite into it. Ours on the other hand which was a simple pepperoni for the kids and a pepperoni mushrooms and jalapeños for me and the wife lacked the presentation and taste of the pizza I saw others eating. Needless to say we just left because afterall what would they have done they were "CLOSING". Completely disappointed and will never go there again....however if you do decide to go make sure it's wellllllll way...
