Burger King — Restaurant in Alaska

I do enjoy an occasional Whopper, and this is the closest Burger King to my home. I always roll through the drive-thru for my order, and I don’t think I’ve ever been inside.

I’ll bet I’ve been there at least 30 times, and I’ve noticed some patterns. I’m the type of person that does the math of my order and I know what the total cost is before they even tell me over the speaker. The thing is, they are almost always wrong. Several items on the drive-thru menu don’t reflect the new, higher price. I use to ask why the price charged is more than the menu says, and their reply has been that since the new owners spent money remodeling the store, they need to charge more to get their money back.

Also, there is a clean-cut looking thin guy with glasses often in the drive-thru that always asks if you want cheese on your sandwich. I always say “no, thank you” and they don’t put cheese on the sandwich, but when he is working there will be a .50 cent additional charge on the receipt. If you ask him about the additional cost before you pay, he will quickly read off what is on the order (including the .50 cents for the cheese), and when you call him out on it he will just say that he thought you said, “Yes.”

Bottom line: They serve basic Burger King food. The fries are seldom warm and the customer service kinda sucks, but you will probably be over-charged (especially in drive-thru) because the managers are probably under substantial pressure to increase the average ticket price by the money-hungry owners....

2021- Updated review

I have come here four times in the last two months so I waited before changing my original review from two years ago. There’s usually a wait in the drive-through per usual with most fast food places but the service and the food were both great enough for us to keep coming back and here I am on a Friday night it’s 8 o’clock and I don’t wanna make dinner so I stop over here and I am happy to say I will be back. Im thinking they have new management and employees so I’m a happy customer again

2019- 1STAR Im not a fan of burger king i never wanna go here but once in a blue moon someone well wanna go try something new and see. And we have done this For many years on and off never experiencing anything good enough to keep us as customers. So we went to Burger King to try the new tacos I get it it’s Burger King and tacos should not be at a burger joint but I digress it tasted gross it was flat it was hard it did not come off fresh or crispy,it wasn’t good in anyway. Not to mention their service is really bad at all the burger kings but the diamond one takes the cake. The manger lady was so short with me, didn’t wanna explain what’s on a certain burger I inquired about, and worst part if it all was her condescending way of talking.

another note They do NOT accept or take any coupon from the burger king app. Basically they promote the app and using the discounts on the walls and doors of store but they don’t accept it. Annoyed...

I'm sorry that the rating system did not have a ZERO , Last week, I went here for lunch on my way out of town, I ordered a "fresh off the grill" berger meal, their deluxe whopper, almost 10 bucks! The berger patty was burnt, almost like charcoal, un edible! So I call them, and July calmed me down (cudos to her) . She said she would replace the entire order and honestly. I was fine with that, so I went back today, and placed my order, and the order taker said it would be right out, 50 min later, the lady came out and asked me if I ordered a spicy chicken meal, I said, no, and told her what I ordered, she looked at me and said " your still waiting for that" I said yes, and she turned and walked away, nothing said, just walked away. Never will I eat there again! I had a similar issue with the B.K. on Tudor, ordered breakfast and I could see the woman making my order, she dropped the patty on the floor, picked it up with her nasty 1.5 inch long nails, and put it back on the sandwich. I just got my money back, and did not eat there for several years.
