Charleys Cheesesteaks — Restaurant in Alaska

My family stopped to eat here. Every thing was okay until we got our food. My husband first asked for sauce for my sandwich because it was barely any on it & the older man (cook) was VERY rude to him telling him it would cost extra and then walked away. My husband brought my son and I our food and the first thing I noticed was my sandwich was poorly made. My sons tenders were so thin & dry. So i bit into my sandwich just to see how it taste first before complaining. It was horrible. Im pregnant. I cant eat a lot of salty food. The sandwich tasted so salty! The chicken had no teriyaki sauce on it. It looked like they cooked the chicken in then squirted a little sauce on the sandwich which went more on the bread than the chicken. Horrible. So i brought the sandwich back to the cashier asking if it was possible I could have a refund. Thats when things got REAL unprofessional. The cashier asked me what was wrong with a attitude while looking at me rudely. I explained the issue. He was so rude and it took a while to get him to understand why Im not happy. Sadly he spoke to me like i have poor comprehension and this was the first Charlys ive been too. When its not. I know how the food should look. That wasnt it. Then the male cook took the plate & threw it! Screaming out something & im just looking like wow. I made a remark about what he just had done. Then the woman cook starts staring at me angrily! I asked her is there a problem? Then told them both to do their jobs. They should not have reacted that way. I was a paying customer dissatisfied with their performance and simply wanted my money back. I did not deserve to have to experience this treatment and will never eat at this Charlys location again. 1.) tried to use my rewards but it wasn’t opening up cuz the wifi becomes @ss once u get to the food court. the old korean man (50/50 he’ll blow up in ur face. better dealing with anyone else) who’s always there told us to “use it later” as a horrible solution. (no one behind us) but solved it by walking out of the court redeem and walk back in. tip; u gotta redeem it for the code before u even enter the mall.

2. not sure if he’s new (tall, looks native, seems nice but incompetence when doing the cashiering job) but again tried to use my rewards, it beeped i believe but it was rush hour and dude did not put the rewards in.

3. (diff time) the reason i’m doing a review. HE GAVE US BEEF INSTEAD OF CHICKEN. same new guy. we clearly said CHICKEN 😫. only noticed we got beef when i opened it and then looked at the receipt but they were already closed and the cashier charged us for beef. ughh. like fook, now i gotta look at the receipt and food every time. we got 5 phillys and 3 fries for $71 so ofc i wasn’t happy. especially cuz they were for my siblings who never tried it before. #chickentastesomuchbetterthanbeef😭😭😫 and even if i went back it’ll be “but ur receipt says beef” their words against mine anyways ugh

First time trying them after a birthday party nearby. It was maybe a couple people before us but they got taken care of fairly quick Same for me as well. Great prices especially for the portions. My 2 littles shared the 20 piece box with cheesy fries and they ate half and half and were full. Food was 10/10 the Cajun wings weren’t spicy but still finger licking good with their Sriracha sauce. They had plenty of seating while waiting for our order. I say the total time from ordering our food to receiving it was about 8-9 minutes probably less than that. I would get the cheese on the side if possible if you’re not going to eat right away. Some of the fries were soggy when we made it home from the cheese. The rest of our food was still fresh and hot it smelled as good as it tasted !! Will be my go to spot...
