Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Alaska

Came in tonight after a long day at the mall school shopping with 2 hungry kids. As always our food was y we love to come. (Mom especially loves the salad bar) tonight in particular, I ordered the “all you can eat” salad bar. We came in around 6:15 pm. After a few moments, the gal who checked us out in the front, came up to me and said “I’m so sorry I forgot to tell you we close at 7 and so you may not have a lot of time to go back for all you can eat salad.” This employees name per the receipt is Kayleigh. I came here to specifically say, this gal has been well trained and obviously has great parents! To me, after a long day today of younger and obviously newer mall employees with eye rolls and what not, she made an awesome impression. Kindness, courtesy and going above and beyond for customer service tends to be headed in the wrong direction these days!! it would have probably been a pain for her to go back and refund me the three dollar difference.. but she was willing and able and came to me truthfully. I chose not to do any refund but was impressed by her willingness to go above and beyond. I just wanted to say, thank you Kayleigh. I do hope your boss sees this and knows you deserve a raise! I was already satisfied, but she made my night. I also wanted to say, every single employee at this location ALWAYS does a great job. We’ve been here often and I’ve never had a bad time. Well done and thanks from a store weary mom with a teenager of my own along with a six year old, who did not want to cook dinner tonight! Lastly, the experience gave me a great opportunity for a chat with my own teen about how he should be when he becomes an employee soon! We have always loved coming here and will continue to do so! I'm Cathy ,I worked at RT for 4 years.I was always a very dedicated,respectful,kind person to every one ,and very hard working .Only to be fired in the most horrific,disrespectful,degrading way by Lando Caldron the GM.He is a very evil,rude,cruel,disrespectful,angry,aggressive,foul mouth,toxic,ungrateful person.I would never want to work for someone like him ever again.He's very unprofessional,and unappreciative by/with the way he addresses his employees.He fired me by dropping the F bomd at least 5 times, telling me To get the F--- out his F---restaurant,to get my F---- S---and get the F-- out, Saying your F------ Fired.Get the F---- out all because I was having a conversation with a co worker about a situation that happened at the last Def Takeover that he overheard,when I was telling a co worker that I never called Iris which is his wife /employee out of her name during an incident last month.I was defending my integrity,only to be fired for doing so. It was a very very bad ending to my 4 years employed there...RT is a very toxic environment,where EVERYBODY TALKS ABOUT EVERYBODY BEHIND THERE BACKS.And Lando is the WORST of them all.He doesn't lead by example,Nor does any of his cooks ever wear gloves or wash there hands after coming back from their 5 bathroom break,or 10 the cigarette break or or from smoking there weed outside.It's a very very dirty, nasty environment,literally and he does nothing about it!The only time he or the staff clean is if corporate or health inspector are coming.Nor do the owners act like they care!!!!! Terrible experience. The staff were rude and not helpful at all. Asked if we could order a drink when we were ordering food. The lady at the food counter said I had to go to the "bar." I walked over there, waited, no one came. So I went back to the food counter and she said he was coming. I went back to the bar and waited again. No one came. Went back to the food counter and asked another guy that was standing next to the only person in the establishment that could pour a beer. He said the dude was coming. So, I went back to the bar and waited. Again, no one came. So I went back to the food counter and the guy was still making food. The lady at the counter told me again that he was coming. I said no he's not, he's making food. 15 minutes had passed by this point so I was getting frustrated and very annoyed. I asked if he could take a 2 minute break from making food to get our drinks. She said no, he has to make the pizza. I was like seriously. Then she proceeded to tell me, very rudely, that staring at him wasn't going to help. I was standing in front of the food counter.
