No reason to come back! I ordered mongolian beef combo, soda (that I had to check and correct), and "BONELESS BBQ RIBS". The food took 40 or so mins to arrive for a 15minute commute, it was correct however either they switched out my "boneless bbq ribs" with something else or
their "BONELESS BBQ RIBS" are glorified stripes of meat in a box. NO SAUCE. DRY as jerky, I might as well have went to a gas station. The mongolian beef was tasteful however too tender for my likes. Vegetables with were not crisp. The steamed white rice was passable and enjoyable with the packed soysauce (I forgot to mention they re-use breadbags for plastic misc. bags? Cutting costs.)
However between my unsatisfied tasting I came across their Glorious eggroll. The shell was perfect and crumbled ever so delicately with every bite. It tasted crisp and warm with every bite. Little sweet in my opinion but the overall taste was enjoyable.
So I'm confused at how such a store has average 4 stars for such sub-par service? We as a community, relative to our location, need to be honest and true for honest...
Read moreHonestly this was so good I was already thinking of what to order the firs time going there. I had the Mapo Tofu and scallion pancakes, brought a friend along to try it with me. They got the pork strips with szechuan sauce. I rarely ever give 5 star reviews as you can see, from my reviews, and this place deserves it. One of the only places in Anchorage people can get AUTHENTIC chinese food, and it having an American-Chinese menu for those who are not too familiar with it. Also I must say the decor is 👌 very 👌 nice 👌
The scallion pancake was flakey and it tasted so amazing. Mapo tofu was also really good, savory, sour, a hint of spice (I like spicey food I would have liked it spicier tbh but it was really good.) A hint of sweetness. I actually had leftover and that tasted EVEN BETTER the next day, which is a good sign on how well seasoned the food is. Used the mapo sauce with the flakey scallion pancake and pure bliss. Also the food comes with a big serving of rice, it may look expensive but the amount you get is worth it. Bring a friend...
Read moreGood presentation looks great, however the food itself was very cold. The Chinese doughnuts were delicious. The best thing we ordered from there. The fried dumplings were okay. Tasted better. The shrimp fried rice was cold, mind you we were the only customer there for dine in. It tasted very plain and the shrimp wasn’t cooked enough. Portion size was huge. Ratio of rice to shrimp was too much. Only had like 7 small shrimps. The D7 I got, the fried rice was also plain and cold. The sweet and sour chicken was very greasy and also cold. The crunch was good though. The egg roll was also cold, wasn’t good. For the chicken chow mein, the noodles were hot but the chicken wasn’t. It was salty but was the only food out of everything that had taste. Food was quick to come out. Confused why they’re cold though.
Hospitality was good. She refilled the water and asked if...
