Sunset Park — Attraction in Alaska

Site of the old Government Hill Elementary School. When I visited in 2004, there was nothing to commerate its demise during the March 27, 1964 earthquake. I went to Government Hill school from 1960 to 1966...last year and a half we double shifted with other schools. I really wish they would put up a plaque about it...I spent a lot of time at that site...tons...

As this park is close to JBER-Elmendorf's flight path it's a good spot to watch military aircraft as they land...

Very fun park equipment and a lot of spacious grass to play any outdoor activities or take your pet...
