Nice place to stroll and watch enthusiastic anglers in action.
We were hoping to see some salmon and some fishing action so we went by the popular fishing hole at Ship Creek.
We visited the Ulu Factory and the Ship Creek trail which is right behind the factory. There are paid parking right in front of Ulu Factory.
A beautifully constructed and paved park. We saw lots of joggers during our visit. Fishermen line the stretch and repeatedly casting their line. Intriguing fishing technique, which I suspect is due to the water current.
We didn't spot any fish nor any fishermen reeling in any, it was still an interesting sight to observe.

Unfortunately, we didn't see a single fish being caught that day but had fun just walking along the trail and...
Read moreThis place sucks. It’s a scam. They charge for parking. Even on weekends unlike the rest of Anchorage. If you screw up and don’t realize it’s different, you get $50 ticket. Unbelievable. There is a giant empty parking lot right across the street that doesn’t charge anything. Park there. Avoid this tourist trap. They are obviously looking for people to entrap. We left our car to go ask about weekend parking. Literally gone 4m and someone had ticketed my car. They must have people hiding and ticketing. Go somewhere...
