Golden Donuts — Restaurant in Alaska

I wish I could give negative stars. Like take some other people's stars and just throw them away. This place was terrible. Horrible customer service. First time going there since I was a kid (which I never had the chance to eat anything because they were "out of dounuts"). Me and my husband decided to go today and when we walk in we don't get even a simple "hello", or "welcome". We instead, walked up to the counter and immidently hear "what do you want?" In a rude tone. Right off the bat that really irritated me. As we're were clearly looking to see what we wanted. She asks again not even 2 seconds later, "do you want anything?" Again rude voice. So we tell her some cinnamon rolls. Then she shoves them in a bag. "Anything else?" We were looking at the small coffee sign. Again two seconds later, "well? Anything else"? My husband ordered his as they walked to the register. I was right behind. She took off to go make his coffee before hearing mine. So waiting to finish our order we hung around the register while other customers were ringing out. Looking around I notice another employee walking around eating something, which is gross around customers and the food. (Just take it to the back! No one wants to see you eating!) Then just minutes later I hear, "anything else?" I look at my husband, "is she talking to us?" She never even attempted to look at us. And again just a second later, "well?" So I had to shout from accross the room, over the customers in front of us paying, what I wanted. Of course she didn't hear right the first time so I had to shout a little louder again what I wanted. We received our order and left both telling each other, "let's never go...

So, kiddo wanted a doughnut, being close to the work place, I say sure. We walk over, happy that they are open. Waited patiently and happily as they had a bit of a rush around 12:15pm. This poor woman, seemed to be doing everything by herself, doing her best. Like holy cow, she was making the coffee, taking the orders, along with the drive through and doing the register as well. All the while this dude character was spacing out next to the window doing nothing until she asked him to get on register. We made our order, and then went to pay. I paid for the doughnuts then saw the bottled soda. Quickly I grabbed one to pay for and the dude let out the most audible annoyed grunt. Like, I almost just walked out right there. I payed with cash since I didn't want to take time to transfer funds in fear that he would be even more unprofessional at me or the kid.

I hate giving negative reviews. Because the lady was being a boss juggling all the things with this lump on the log character. She was even nice and threw in an extra doughnut as a surprise that we didn't know about til we got back to the shop. Doughnuts were delicious, she was good, but the male character was absolutely a great example of how not to...

the service was perfect gave me exactly what I ordered, just the way I like it ,no problems . friendly and fast . got to work on time, stress free. its worth going a few extra minuets early incase I get a slow poke in front of me.because the cinnamon roll I ordered was amazing, this donut was so warm and fresh it melted right in my mouth,i never get any thing near this wonderful from the other places, and its like they have the perfect amount of cinnamon inside so flavorful. this cinnamon must come from heaven, because im sure I seen an angel drifting away as I pulled up, either that or droping off those little specks of gold dust that make those donuts irreplaceable.. yeah, there really that great, so thank you for doing me the honor of allowing me to share this mouthwatering moment with you, god bless to one and all who think of passing thru the golden donuts shop.may the angels bless your lives forever, looking forward to seeing you again. not...
