Northern China Restaurant — Restaurant in Alaska

Edit 6/1/23 Well, something here changed. Food is bland and not as good as before. Staff unattentive, inexperienced. There's a guy laying on the couch a few tables down blasting his phone rap music, feels weird here, different and not what I'm into. Feels different than before, like I'm in a ghetto house. Tastes different. Fried rice had no flavor. Almond chicken as well. She kept leaving for long time when we wanted to order drinks, when we wanted to order appetizers, when we wanted to order the entrees, when we needed boxes and check. She kept wanting me to clear directly in front of me to serve the next thing even if i wasn't finished with the last plate (appetizers, then soup then entrees) she kept getting annoyed because i was eating instead of clearing way for her to set next course down instead of setting it next to me. Not regular staff I'm used to. The regular staff from the past 5 years I've been going here set the bar so high. New people were just strange at serving and everything.

I ordered on a Friday and right went I called for delivery, she asked, "Your address" I started to tell her and she sounded like she immediately got overwhelmed"what you want? How much you order!!" . I tell her then the woman put me on hold. Then a man gets on the phone asks me the same thing. I told him and he ask how much food are you going to get. I said at least 60 and he laughs puts me on hold. After the lady came back asks again what my address was I told her my address, then she proceeds to say "What do you want?!! How much food you gonna order ?" I said I was going to tell you earlier I just told the guy. So I go through it again. Little bit put off but Im hopeful the food will fix irritation I was feeling. Yep food was good BUT I was disappointed that every thing I ordered came with half the container filled with white rice. I thought the whole container was going to be filled with my entree and then I ordered the fried rice. I feel like I payed for $80 worth of rice instead of entrees. Probably wont...

I called to see if they delivered to Midtown. First, I unfortunately had a VERY difficult time understanding the person on the other end of the phone and could not tell if he was talking to me or someone in the kitchen. He asked how many people were ordering. I told him "2". He then LAUGHED and rudely said "uh, no, no, we no deliver for that amount of people." Even though their online information shows a $20 minimum for delivery (which would have been met). I guess they must be making a killing off all the Muldoon deliveries and don't have time for the rest. From the other reviews, they seem very hit or miss. People either love this place or hate it. I won't say that I hate them (because I have never had their food and now never will). They are crossed of the list of places i will patronize.
