My meal and family's meal was not good. When I first entered this establishment it was quite empty so I would assume the workers would be free and open to helping us, we had to uncomfortably seat ourselves. Some of the guests would literally get up from their seats and go get what they needed. This restaurant seemed to take precautions in order for them to not have to do any work. This is considered fine for most, but it just felt odd. My second point is the fact that our hostess was extremely out of place. It was clear that she was having her own problems and attitude coming to show and affecting the way she treated us. Her facial expressions and her snapping back at us was unappreciated. Next is the food, which was undesirable as well. Only regarding my meal, it just looked sad, I didn't even want to touch it. My shrimp seemed undercooked and dry. My noodles didnt fit the description of what I ordered. After I got over myself I tried to enjoy the meal to the best of my ability. I talked to my family and most of them enjoyed their meal, but the person who ordered something the slightest bit out of complexity claimed to be pushed to enjoy their meal. They just didn't think it to be nice. So basically, anything where they need to put in work is something they would fail in. This review isn't to point out everything bad because I would like to note the good. The environment was clean and well set up regarding what the tables contain and where they are placed. If you wish to dine here you'll understand how it meets any requirement for a safe and casually fun restaurant, but it doesn't mean you'll be satisfied with your food or treatment. It matters what's on the inside rather than what's pretty on...
Read moreOrdered pad Thai, yellow curry, pineapple fried rice, crab Rangoon, and chicken satay.
The only things edible were the satay and the curry.
The pad Thai was an overcooked blob of congealed noodles and chicken. It was so stuck together it was hard to tell what was what. My wife couldn’t eat it. The fried rice was the same. It was just a mushy pile and very off putting in texture and flavor. Almost like they added too much fish sauce or had just cooked shrimp in the same wok.
The crab Rangoons were atypical and bread like. The filling is like half potsticker half bread dough. No cream cheese and just not what you would think when someone says “crab Rangoon”
The satay was good, the peanut sauce (the best part) was of a dough ball consistency and tasted horrible. It’s like if a cup of peanut sauce was left out for a week to dry up. It wouldn’t stick to the chicken and we ended up just not eating it.
Lastly, the yellow curry was decent but not outstanding. The potatoes and carrots were cooked well but the chicken was a little tough. All in all not bad but for the cost, not good.
We spent about $80 in total and couldn’t eat half the food. Very disappointed.
The man up front who handled the order was very polite and...
Read moreI would give this place a zero if it was applicable. First of all, in my ten years of service industry experience, I have never seen such rude customer service. The spring rolls came out and they must have been made earlier and been sitting out because the shrimp was warm and fishy. The fresh lemonade took 20 mins and was received after my husbands entire order came out. We are usually big tippers but the service was so outrageous, with slamming down the drinks and dirty looks, that she received nothing... After we left, we took a look at the receipt and saw that we were charged more than what we ordered. If I get food poisoning tonight from this old shrimp then I will be calling health inspectors to go examine this...
