I eat from here a lot. Delivery will take quite some time. Average time has been about an 1hr-1& 30mins (I always call around 5-6 so I donât know the wait time during lunch hour). The people at the front desk are very nice and are not responsible for your food being late so please do not lash out your frustrations on them (I have seen it firsthand here). However, their chicken fried rice is not the best. I like to get it because it is good when you roll around the sesame chicken in it. But by itself itâs very bland and the chicken doesnât have much flavor. My dog likes to eat the chickens pieces. And they put a lot of chicken pieces in there so my dog loves when they deliver haha! I also donât care much for the chow mein noodles but my boyfriend likes them so I guess itâs just preference. The eggroll that they have is not as tasty. BUT on the plus side they have some of the best sesame chicken I have ever had :D! They also have both Coca Cola and Pepsi products as well as a ton of other drinks like lemonade, fruit juice, etc so you can always find what drink youâre craving. They are also a bit pricey. But Iâm sure you can find something you like from the menu so I would def give them a try. :) itâs also great that they deliver! I think they have a 25 dollar minimum though. Or something around...
Read moreSweet Pink Pepper used to be my go-to for fast and good Chinese, but the mediocre service has gone from annoying to horribly infuriating and the great food is a thing of the past. While the food wasn't terrible, it wasn't great either. My most recent encounter is as follows: Placed a pick up order, got home to find out it was the wrong order. Called and told them what I ordered and what I actually received, they said they'd make the correct order and deliver it. Received delivery only to find out that they made the incorrect order all over again. Had to argue with the driver about what we originally ordered and he told us to have part of the incorrect meal and he'd return with the right order. Instead of receiving the right order, he gave us a small box saying that combined with the other wrong orders, we received enough in his opinion. So, we paid for a large order of meat a la cart and instead received food that most of we couldn't eat, in bits and pieces and by the time we gave up trying to get what we paid for, what we did have was cold. If you like receiving the food you ordered, getting the entire order at the same time, or get customer service that isn't rude and argumentative, get your food...
Read moreI was curious about Pink Pepper because of all the good reviews and it showed up on a Best of Alaska ranking recently. My curiosity is now sated. I don't know why folks are ranking this restaurant so high, but they are missing some tastebuds and/or sanity. I paid $50 for wonton soup with uncooked wontons, bland and uninspired sesame chicken, bland and uninspired sweet and sour shrimp, and weird tasting pork fried rice...silly, silly me! If you dine in as we did this evening, you'll be alone in a dirty dining room with sticky, wobbly tables and surly employees. There are no dishes or silverware...it's all styrofoam and plastic. I really, really wanted this to be a diamond-in-the-rough restaurant because it's been around for decades. But it is not. You will waste your money here. You will have regrets. Don't do that to yourself. Anchorage Asian food is bad on a good day, but this takes that to a whole, new level. I suggest China Town for dine-in and Charlie's or Panda Restaurant for takeout. Even Panda Express is better than this.
Don't eat here. You don't deserve that, no matter what you've...
