I had to drive my son back to ASU for his last semester. So today while he was in class I decided to try something other than the regular fast food chains like McDonalds, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken, etc. I came across this place serving chili hotdogs with coleslaw. I read a review someone had wrote about how they’ve eaten many hotdogs; from New York, Chicago, to Philly and no one compared to this place. Also they suggested that if you’re in Albany, GA check them out. They didn’t exaggerate at all I got to 2 Chili hotdogs w/mustard, ketchup, and onions topped with coleslaw. And to wash it down a cold can of Canada Dry. All for less than $6! The owner of this small amazing restaurant needs to tell Louie’s Texas Hots in Buffalo, NY (which only has mustard, ketchup, onions, and texas sauce) to STOP charging damn near $5 for ONLY ONE hotdog and without even a drink! These were the BEST CHILI/COLESLAW hotdogs I ever had!!!! Now I’m going to pass it on to the next person. If you’re in Albany, GA make sure you stop by Little Red...
Read moreit really isn't even fair to try to give a rating for atmosphere because that’s not the point of the little red doghouse.
i’ve had chili dogs at the varsity in Atlanta and I’ve had new way weiners in Macon.
chili dogs off the street in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and everywhere in between.
but I’ve never had a chili slaw dog like the one I had last night from the little red dog house. actually, I had three. for under 10 bucks.
I don’t know what their secret is, but they turn out some of the best hotdogs anywhere you’ll ever find.
if you’re driving by quickly, don’t blink because you’ll miss it. it’s a little shack with nothing but takeout food.
These are the kind of places you hope never disappear.
if you’re in the Albany area and you’re craving a hotdog, don’t go anywhere else.
you know it’s a really good chili slaw dog when the shirt that you were wearing still smells that way the...
Read moreI love Lil Red Dog House! It's a drive up business. So you either get out of your car and walk up to the window or wait in a line to use the drive around window. I feel they have outgrown that location. It's been there since I was a little kid as far as I can remember. They would benefit from a better ordering system. Even if they printed a QR Code on a few yard signs so that you could view the menu and perhaps place your order while in line. Or have someone to come outside to take your order while you wait, would help to speed up the process so that they can serve more customers. I can't tell you the number of times I pulled up and saw the line and kept going or waited for a while and decided to leave. But I like their hotdogs better than anyone...
