Not a bad Ramen place but it is over hyped. The atmosphere is nice and quiet. I will say, it seems a little excessive to have tvs on almost every wall. You Typically wouldn't be watching TV at a Ramen place but they do still other courses like steak, lobster, alcohol, etc so I understand the tvs. The service was attentive, just the average Albemarle service. Now let's get into the food.
So I dined in during lunch so they have a lunch special. It included 1 free app with choice of Ramen. Now 90% of people here come here for the Ramen so my review is based on the Ramens itself.
I order the volcano Ramen with shumai app. My fiance ordered the tantanmen Ramen with pork gyoza app (aka pork dumplings). Now since this is the lunch special, you only get 2 pieces of pork app and 3 shumai. It's nice just for a sample. The pork gyoza were a expect of any normal pork gyoza. On the other hand my shumai was quite disappointing. They were very tiny with 1 piece of baby shrimp and veg. Mostly it was doughy. All I could taste was steak dough. I would suggest avoiding the shumai.
The Ramen itself is very presentable but one thing I noticed right away was the broth. Ramen is known and wanted for 2 things, the broth and the noodles. The broth in both bowls looked similar, I looked at other local guides images for their reviews and the broth all looks similar. They don't give you extra condiments so you can pure try the broth before mixing everything together. I did that for both bowls and the broth tasted the exact same. Only difference is the toppings. Second thing I noticed is the noodles. The texture, look and consistency is the exact same as maruchan Ramen packet noodles. Not handmade. With that being said, the taste of the Ramen was average. My volcano had no spice and no extra condiments to increase spice or flavor.
Overall it's a below average for a Ramen spot. The noodle looks store bought from cheap noodles and the broth itself all looks and tastes the same. There is no wow factor in the Ramen. It didn't hit the spot nor the craving and honestly on a cold sick day, I wouldn't consider this a go to spot.
The pricing overall is on par with other Ramen place but after viewing the quality of the broth, noodle and topping. It's honestly overpriced. If your not in the mood to boil your own maruchan noodle and want something a little more fancy, I would suggest this spot. Otherwise it is over hyped. Was my first time here and I don't see another visit in the...

Read moreWe had a wonderful experience at Delights. The food got thumbs up from everyone. The vegetable ramen with tofu and extra chili oil was on point. The beef ramen was good, but seemed to have the same base broth as the tonkotsu which is pork and should be a cloudy type broth. The meat is cold, then you stir in the hot broth. I saw some complain about this, but that is not uncommon for ramen. The broth could have been a tad warmer, but hot enough. I like it PIPING hot. The seafood ramen also got a big thumbs up and had zero suggestions for improvement! In general we wish they offered bok Choy instead of spinach and different types of mushrooms. The shoyu tamgo was good, and the noodles and broth were good, which are the most important things for me! I could have done without the corn personally, but my kids loved that! We ordered broth and meat only for some of the children, and they approved. Overall the ramen was a B++ or A! We will definitely be back! Great food, great service and SO lucky to have a good Ramen place nearby. How lucky are we!?!? People drive hours to find a good ramen! I recommend adding a simple meat and vegetable stir fry to your night menu for those who want to stay below the 15 price point, and 1/2 size ramens for 10! We would love a 1/2 size ramen from now on with...
