(Priced ridiculously)Let me start by saying the inside is comfortable and seems clean. When I walk in I’m greeted by a guy who I take is a manager or owner he was nice and very interested in telling me the menu and the deals. I only came for a menu but after talking to him for a few I wanted to try something . He recommended the catch of the day lobster roll with one side for 16 dollars I say ok let’s do it with the fries as a side. Ask if they have Apple Pay and he says yes and ask the waitress to check me out at the kiosk machine. She says 20 dollars and I’m like I thought the meal was 16 she says it’s a 2 dollar fee for the fries because they truffle I didn’t know what that meant on the menu it don’t say that but ok let’s see what it’s about. Order came out fast but that’s because the only thing the cooked was the fries but this catch of the day is a cold sandwich not a hot one which I thought it was that’s my mistake All and all the sandwich was just ok not worth 16 dollars alone by far the fries was ok they just sprinkled cheese on top call them truffle and charge extra 2 dollars not cool and forgot my ranch on the side that they keep asking me if I wanted but still forgot. Hwy55 has a sandwich and fries combo with a drink for half the price and taste way better. One waitress seems to be into herself alittle to much also was asking her a question I know she heard me as she was walking by and ignored me but the waitress way behind the counter heard and seen what the other did and answered me I do appreciate the blonde hair girl. Customer service goes along way and maybe it just me being a very nice and Unattractive black man (lol) in a very white establishment may have been the cause. I tend to recognize that treatment when I don’t expect it because at 1st I didn’t feel that way but when I left I did. Food is priced ridiculously for the taste and amount you get. Spent 20 dollars and didn’t even get a drink. I am for far cheap and I spend money sometimes like it grow on trees but this was one that I wish I’d tried something else. Every place has its ups and downs and some places are good and some are not. This one was in the middle for me. Like I said I only came in for a menu because I couldn’t find one online……. Money grow on trees so I say let’s do it. lol shoulda gotten something else on the...
Read moreI have no idea how this place is open and has 4.6stars. We visited yesterday and it was horrendous from start to finish. I’m assuming it was one of the managers who seated us. She had brown hair. Pulled back into a ponytail. With glasses on. And she goes “Here’s your menus. But your server named Sam is also working as the bartender today. So she will be running behind with serving you guys and taking your orders since she’s doing both jobs”. First of all. Unacceptable. That is unfair to Sam. Secondly, if Sam if busy doing 2 jobs, then why can the lady who sat us at a minimum not even take our orders? The epitome of “that’s not my job” anyways. After waiting over 20 minutes for poor Sam running this place on her own, we asked if someone could at least put our order in. They sent someone else out to take our orders. After waiting 20 more minutes for our food to come out, the lady who originally sat us and told us Sam would be busy, brings us the food. She can tell we’re irritated and unhappy. Instead of offering to make it better, Sam comes out to apologize to us that she’s been so busy at the bar and hasn’t had time to even come see us. She offers us a dessert on the house. We ask for a pecan pie. Then we wait 20 more minutes for the pie. And we’re brought a peanut butter pie. At this point it just feels like one big joke. The music is horrendous. The food is mediocre. And the service is so slow. And poor Sam is carrying that place on her back while her other coworkers refuse to even put her tables orders in. If you’re so short staffed you are giving customers this horrible of an experience, cut your losses and...
Read moreUpdate March 25- I have eaten here a ton. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The one thing I get consistently is the gumbo. It's amazing. I was quite impressed by this place. The atmosphere is fantastic. Service was great. Food was awesome. Of everything we had the shrimp appetizer with Thai chili sauce was the best and will probably be a must have every time we visit. I had the special, the shrimp etouffee. A dish that is different everywhere you go and you never know what you're going to get. Here, it was pretty darn good. It needed hot sauce (in my opinion anything Cajun does). And the owner was quite accommodating in the hot sauce selection. It was a great dish that I would definitely order again. We also tried the creme brulee and peanut butter pie. They were good. Not the best I've had but they were definitely worth having for dessert. Their wine selection, while small, was good. They had some excellent options. I also tried an espresso martini. If you like a very coffee based version that is less creamy, it's the way to go. The old fashioned left a little to be desired. I did make a mistake of not picking my bourbon but it still seemed to be lacking in flavor. I didn't finish it. That being said, I know for a fact if I had asked for something in particular to make it better, they would have made it happen. (Again. Service was perfect) I'll be back. Often. Such a great addition to the...
