Don't Bother especially if you don't eat pork. They don't care. I have been hearing about this pizza place Jake's for quite sometime now in Albert Lea. They have a good reputation. Last night was my first try. I order 2 medium pizzas $36.70 of my hard earned money. Then a $10.00 tip to the nice delivery guy. Here's how it turned out. 1 pizza good. The other Horrible. The female taking the order was rude and moving to fast. She didn't even tell me the cost of the pizza just took my card and hung up the phone. I told her this was my first time ever trying them. This usually means they will pay attention so my 1st experience would be a good one. She didn't. I received my pizza after requesting no pork and all pork items to be replaced with Pineapple, black olives, and jalapens, plus keep all the other basic elements. Needless to say it was missing many basic elements the original pizza that it would of got automatically, like hamburger. I ordered the house special. The first pizza was just a pepperoni with extra cheese, which my friend ordered. Back to the story... I ate a few pieces hoping that maybe it just wasn't on a couple pieces when I didn't taste any of the proper ingredients I stated to ripped the cheese off. They weren't on there. I called Jake's, again a women. She stated that the order was written improperly and that I need to return the pizza and they would send out another. 40 minutes later. A new pizza arrives. It has Pork on it. Now I can't eat at all. Do I call back and wait another 40 minutes for a new pizza. Heck NO. Waste of my money and time. I was so excited to try something new. Jake's won't get me again and believe me I won't refer anyone to them. I Talk to one other person this morning at a gas station about how bad the mix up was. They told me Jake's always messes up and adds pork to there pizza when someone request No...
Read moreOrdered a pizzafrom here after a recommendation was made by someone working at the AmericInn off of the interstate. The individual stated it was the best in town. We ordered a basic pizza (pepperoni/sausage). The price was only $13, which was shocking but what was even more shocking was that they said it'd be ready in 15 minutes. My first thought was that it takes at least 25 minutes to fully cook a frozen pizza. I picked up the pizza and the first thing I noticed was that none of the staff were wearing their masks properly and some fixed them as I walked in. The dining room was empty but clean. I expected the young girl who handed me the pizza to say thank you but that didn't happen - she wasn't rude but she didn't provide the best customer service either. I was honestly pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the thinness of the crust and the flavor was good too. The entire...
Read moreJake's pizza...amazing! I am not sure why when you order for carryout, it is automatically thin crust but when you dine in and order by the slice it is a regular crust alice....but something to be aware of. I usually am a thin crust pizza type of guy, but I absolutely think that Jake's regular crust is far better than the thin crust!
The toppings are great, the service is always friendly and quick! This is an old time pizza place with that atmosphere that you would expect from a place like this!
I am a huge fan of the sausage here! It tastes great and it comes in good sized chunks...not too big and not little tiny chunks.
The cheese bread is Texas Toast with cheese melted on top...it is great!!! If you order dine-in by the slice, they are...
