By far WAY better than expected. At least 10x better than the Chinese place next door! Everything that we ate was very authentic and tasted just like you were in Taiwan. The food was fresh, sauce is made in house, VERY affordable and everything on the menu is 100% worth trying! In some ways, I felt this was one of the best dining experiences I had in ABQ. If you are scared to try Taiwanese food, don’t be! It is actually really similar to Chinese food and definitely one of the best types of Asian Cuisine to try. The cuisine in Taiwan I feel in some ways is more authentic than a lot of Chinese food you find in the US because it has not been franchised the way Chinese food has. I’d definitely ask about the 培根蛋餅 Taiwanese breakfast pancake with bacon and egg. I asked Fei if she would make this and it was amazing! Tastes just like what I remember a 蛋餅 does in Taiwan. That item may be offered for a limited time, but it’s worth asking Fei about it. 蛋餅 (Taiwanese breakfast pancake) is such a signature dish of how amazing Taiwanese food is! Overall, the service is very good and the owner is very sweet. They used to be close to UNM but then relocated to where their new location. They are very passionate about their cafe and hope more people find out about this hidden gem!

The restaurant is temporarily closed for now. This restaurant recently changed the owner and now became the best Szechuan restaurant in town. If you enjoy spicy food, this is your go-to place. The menu looks simple but every dish is worth it. There are also some daily special dishes. Make sure you ask the chef for it. The chef used to work in a restaurant in Chongqing. His cooking is super authentic. Among all dishes, I would especially recommend Chongqing style boiled duck curd and boiled fish fillet with chilli sauce. This place hasn't had time to hire enough staff to take care of the customers like other places. The only waiter is not very good at English and it takes longer to serve as there is only the chef cooking. So please be patient because you will find out the food is totally worth it. Lastly if you want to use the restroom, go through the door with the restroom sign on it. You will enter the sushi restaurant next door. The restroom is on the side of the sushi restaurant. These two restaurants share the restroom.

This place is like no other place I’ve been this far in Albuquerque, with an emphasis on vegan fare. The prices and portion sizes are hard to beat. Very affordable and filling. I probably made the mistake of ordering too many carbs but that’s ok, I’ll mix it up next time. The fried onion bread was exactly what I’d hoped it’d be. The green chile dumplings were tasty and I can appreciate the local flavors. Wish there was some kind of sauce to go with because they were quite dry. Finally in the combo, they had a soy pulled pork as the special of the day and it kicked my socks off. Awesome flavors and texture. Just wish there was more of it. The worst thing was the sesame noodles, pretty sure it’s just spaghetti with a bit of sesame seeds and sauce. Definitely have some patience before coming here as well, as it appeared to be a two woman operation. Look forward to trying other dishes soon.

The food is tasty just know they offer less than what is on the menu and they dont speak English. When they fail to bring an item we ordered we had to get their attention just to learn they ran out and since our payment had already gone through via the kiosk, you then need to choose a same cost item to substitute. All of this is more difficult because they know zero English. Thankfully another customer translated for us.

In addition to the terrible service the restaurant was not clean. Weirdly, they are carpeted floors. And they were really sticky. So Gross.

The tables aren't clean either. They are set up for new diners but the staff is inattentive to the fact that the table isnt wiped. Gross.

They don't seat their guests so it's up to you to find a table that is decent. We choose a table saw the plastic had stain marks. So we moved toward another table, it was a table where a worker had been sitting there looking at her phone, it was available now but we saw she had left her hair scrunches. So we found yet another table. This entire time none of the staff were attentive.

Small space. Worse service ever. The staff contiued to be in attentive. Finally found menus ourselves, saw there was a kiosk and placed and paid electronically for our order.

While waiting for our food, a waiter then brought us menus, we said we ordered already and pointed to the kiosk. . He didn't speak English. Online we could see that the credit card had be charged. Their system was down so although we were charged they had no record of what to prepare for us. They communicated more with gestures, Learning that items we ordered were not available, We then had to make other choices but we were limited to the same priced item since the meal had already been charged to our account. Still one item had yet to be delivered and after getting the staffs attention a kind customer translated for us asking for them to refund us for that item. Seriously, the service and cleanliness was terrible.

One last comment. This restaurant is connected to another. To use the restroom you must walk through the adjoining restaurant then through blue fabric to find the restroom. Very odd and...

I ordered the Pork Stew Rice with Egg, Steamed Pork Bun, Cold Sesame Noodle, and a milk tea.

The Cold Sesame Noodle had great texture and there was some sesame paste but it lacked flavor. It didn't taste like much and I had to add my own soy sauce to get some flavor out of it.

The Steam Pork Buns were very meh, the filling was ok but the bun itself was terrible. Idk if that batch that day was bad but its not proper pork bun bun at all. The dough didn't rise properly so instead of a fluffy bun it was extremely dense. I could tell at a glance because when my mom tried and failed many time in making pork bun this is exactly what happens.

The Pork Stew Rice with Egg is by far the best things I ordered. It actually did taste like an authentic taiwanese street food. The only downside again like the noodle the sauce is too blend. The flavor of the pork, the veggy, and the eggs were all great! But the sauce that's suppose to flavor the rice has almost no flavor. What's left is after finishing everything is like a glump of flavorless rice coz the sauce had no flavor.

Finally the milk tea, where do I even begin. I love milk tea, back in California I tried so many difference places and had a lot of bad milk teas. I hit almost every boba place in NE since I moved here and also had a lot of meh to bad milk teas. This place is by far the worst milk tea I ever had. The boba is literally the same boba I had when I tried out a can of milk tea (like a can of soda) but at least that milk tea tasted better. The milk tea that I got was literally just milk tea colored water that was slightly better. It literally tasted like water that had some stuff dipped into it that give it a slightly bitter taste. I didn't drink it, I dump it out all because it was undrinkable.

There definitely other dishes I want to try and I really hope it would improve my option of this place. Will...
