After an hour of googling taco places in Albuquerque to get dinner at we came across this place. Nervous this wouldnt be good we loaded up directions anyway. 17 minutes. We were hesitant. We still headed there. As we approached the outside we witnessed a family of beautiful mexicans leaving the restaurant. Thats where we got excited. We had to park on the side of the building all the way in the back. The parking lot was full. Walking in we noticed it was BUSY BUSY. The vibes were comforting , all of us there trying to satisfy our starvation with the hopes of truly experiencing delicious tacos in a place known for them. We places an order to go, the staff were so friendly, very considerate, very understanding. 40 minutes wait for tacos. We were nervous as we were starving, we waiting in the parking lot so ready for the call our tacos were done. 23 minutes go by, tacos are done. We received our four boxes of tacos. You wouldve thought the bags were filled with bricks with the weight they had on them. We arrive back at our AirBnB. We slam the boxes on the table, preying before we feast on what we thought were small street tacos. We open the box, smells arise. Absolute bliss. Saliva starts drooling out our mouths. We admire the creation we have ordered. Four homemade corn torillas, PILED HIGH with Carne Asada. Cilantro, Onions, Cucumber with the gross slimey middle parts cut out, and just when you thought it couldnt get any better, one whole grilled jalapeno. TWO SALSAS, One red, one green. Holding the taco in hand required all my might, an absolute handful of taco piled high with all the fixings. Poured the salsa over that bad boy. Bit into it. Flavors exploded. Tears were shed. My soul ascended into heaven as i chewed it. Absolute perfection. Worth absolutely every bit of time, worth every bit of money. Very affordable for the amount they give you. At all 12 tacos. Unbuttoned my pants. And relaxed the rest of the night occasionally verbalizing my love for...
Read moreThe food is delicious, the owner is nice and the customer service was good. I would like to note that I’m so glad they’re getting the publicity they deserve, however if you’re an “influencer” going there to create content, don’t choose the table right next to the cash register. I was there yesterday (03/28) and two women were there making content. They chose the table right next to the cash register. Their equipment was in the way of the line and they were so loud. It was obnoxious and rude. You had to talk over them to make the order and good luck trying to hear the cashier over them being so loud. It’s cool if you want to create content, but maybe try a table that isn’t right where people put their orders in. Or, go outside. Your content isn’t more important than the restaurant. It’s already a small, busy space, they don’t need “influencers” getting in the way of their business. I’m not blaming the restaurant for this, just noting it as I’m sure more of these “influencers” will go there to make their content. Be considerate and respectful of the business and the customers. You’re taking away from the atmosphere for your own benefit and it’s ridiculous. Anyway, aside from that, I would definitely recommend...
Read moreAight, so about this joint. I had a take-out and let me tell you my experience. Customer service was horrible and did not like the fruity Loop smart-ass remark to my kid. We were waiting for our number to be called and I sent my kid inside because we were outside and its been more than 40 minutes. They said around 30 minutes…So my kid asks the guy did he called out our number. He told my kid and said did you hear me call out your number and started to laugh. For me that's rude! My kid came out and told me no, not yet and then they skipped our number. Hell no you did not! We went inside and said they just skipped our number. As for the food it was good except for the Birra ramen. The ramen was too salty, the more I ate it, the more I was getting shriveled up and looking like a grandpa. The pastor's pizza was good, it had good flavor and was well-balanced with its season and with the green chili. The asada taco meat was bland. They did loaded up with the meat but whats good is that if the meat is plain as hell. Overall it's an alright place. Would I go back, nah. Rather spend my money...
