Filibertos Mexican food — Restaurant in Albuquerque

I’m so upset. This is the first time I’ve eaten at this location and I’m usually happy when I order from here. I placed the order at 4:45 for my lunch break at 5. I arrive at the location about 5:05 and I wait for them to notice me. I tell them my order name and they say it’s almost ready, I say alright and go to get salsa and stuff. About 5:15 the gentleman asked me to give him my order name again and show me what it was because “their order system was down” what do you mean it’s down when you just confirmed it was almost ready? Anywho he calls the order out and by the time I got my food I had waited 45 min!!!!! I was exited to finally get my food I drive home IM ALREADY HALFWAY THROUGH MY LUNCH BREAK and I open the box to see lettus all over it, barely any meat. WHEN ON THE ORDER I SPECIFIED THAT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MEAT AND CHEESE ONLY.Im extremely upset by the lack of cumminication and it was an absolute waste of 35 dollars!!!!! So Disappointed!!! We wanted to try the new Filibertos that recently opened at Montgomery and Tramway. I made the mistake of not asking more questions. I ordered tacos for both of us and requested salsa. I also asked for tomatoes on the tacos but cancelled that when I learned it would be an extra $4.50. (I can buy a lot of tomatoes for $4.50) When I got home, I cut up tomatoes for the tacos. I tasted the salsa and OMG, it was so dang hot we decided not to use it. We added some more cheese and our own salsa, warmed them up a bit and dug in. The meat was cut up roast with the addition of crispy burnt pieces and had absolutely no flavor at all. My husband couldn't eat his at all and I did finish one taco. This was my $20 lesson trying a new place! So, if you prefer ground meat for your taco filling, this is not the place. Just a Heads Up! As much as we don't care for Taco Bell, it is preferable...

I've been to numerous Filibertos locations all over New Mexico and Arizona. Filibertos is one of my favorites. This is by far the least of my favorite locations I've ever been to. The food was alright but could have been better. The carne asada fries were not very enjoyable. The guacamole was gross. My tacos were okay. The service was a bit slow. And multiple customers went back up to the counter for missing items or items prepared incorrectly. I love Filibertos but I'll be seeing if any of the other locations around Albuquerque are better.

Edit: went back a second time for menudo and cheese enchiladas. The cheese on my enchiladas was not melted at all. It was still completely cold shredded cheese. The menudo was watery and had almost no flavor. I will not be going back to this location. Filibertos has been one of my favorite restaurants for a long time. This location is super disappointing....
