Golden Pride — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Very disappointed with my experience with this Golden Pride being that the foods always been great. We went through the drive through and ordered bbq chicken. Got a huge box of food. Got home, starved and ready to eat. When we opened the box it was fried chicken. I called the store and explained what happened to the girl who answered the phone. She yells, “Maria”. This woman comes on the phone who could barely speak English and I explain my problem again. She says in the best English she can, “I so sorry. Come back and we give you bbq chicken.” The girl that I spoke to on the phone was there and I let her know that I had just called about the wrong order they gave me. She snatched the bag away from me and doesn’t say a word. She goes to the back and starts chopping some chicken in a small to go container. She tosses the box on the table and then yells again like she did on the phone, “Maria!” Mind you I had to go out of my way to bring back an order that they messed up on. No sorry, no “making it right” nothing. She actually had an attitude like I messed up her day because I brought back a mistake they made. While she was grabbing the box of chicken she just cut she calls over to Maria again and yells, “Maria, we gotta throw this away now!” She hands me that small box of chicken that she just hacked up and threw it on the counter and says, “here you go!” I’m little confused because the box we got of chicken was huge and full compared to the one that she handed me. I asked her if that was right. Again, bothered she goes, “yeah that’s what you wanted”. Maria didn’t come over and say anything. Hungry I just grabbed the box and left and as I’m leaving one of the cooks mutters, “What, he don’t like the chicken?”

I called another store and spoke to Rita who gave me the corporate number for frontier. I called and explained my situation and asked for Larry or Dorothy as Rita told me to. Dawn, who answered the phone after I just explained my whole situation tells me, “well, this is not golden pride. This is frontier.” I asked her, “aren’t they owned by Larry and Dorothy?” She was just as non responsive as my previous experience. She gives me the corporate number for Golden pride so I called and asked for Dorothy. She was the one that answers the phone. I explained my experience and her response was not, “I’m so sorry for your experience” but,”so what do you want?” “We don’t even work there. We’re the owners but I don’t even know who runs it”. She even told me that they never get complaints. I’m in the food industry and there’s always going to be complaints but you manage them with customer care and service. I got everything I needed to know and just told her, “That’s okay, I’ve heard everything i needed to know.” And hung up. Very...

I stopped at the golden pride on central after church too get some posole too take home for lunch! And as I paid for it I told the the guy too please 🙏 not only give me juice I want posole!! Not juice and he told me. ok I got you ! So I thought I was good as I got home I opened it and once again all juice 🙃 so I call and asked too speak too a manager and he said she not her so I tried too leave my number and he tells me O her she's walking in so I explained to her the that all I had was juice no posole. And I live in Los Ranchos area far! From there and all she could say is for me too drive back and take it back to her and I told her the how far I lived from there but she could care less and would not make it Right! I don't understand wut kind of manager's we have in the Restaurant in Albuquerque I thought at 1 point the customer was always right! So to how ever is reading this review! Please 🙏 Do not EAT! There unless you luv juice! Not posole I will never eat there again or my family! So disappointed 😞 I guess I'll drink 🍸 my posole! Today! I also asked for someone higher that could help me with my problem but all she would tell me is she was the general manager! If we have general manager's like that unbelievable the worst place you can eat at and I just don't want anyone too ever go though wut I did this Sunday! And if you do eat there please 🙏 check your food before buying it ! TOTALLY UNHAPPY!! with the manager and the food ! Never again will these people get my money .waste of my money poring out my lunch in the sink ! So sad we have people that don't care...

Ordered at drive thru a chicken sandwich combo, plain, with green Chile and cheese only ,fries, macaroni, and a Dr pepper. Got my order, drove away, decided to check, sandwich had everything I didn't want on it, my fries were missing, and there was no spoon for the macaroni. Now don't me wrong, I love, and i mean love, golden prides food. Their products are amazing, and ive never had a problem with how the food tastes, or how it was prepared. But the last 3 times I've been there, they've messed up my order and left me unsatisfied as a customer. To make the whole dining experience great, the service has to be in line with the quality of the food, it just has to. They go hand in hand. To whom it may concern; sit down with your staff, and implement some kind of quality control, with a system of checks and balances, so that this can kind of issue can't and won't happen anymore. Once I can understand, but 3 times in a row?? Come on,,,,somethings definitely wrong with your system and or training procedures. So please, step it up a notch, and make us proud to spend our money at our local home grown restaurant. Best...
