New Mexico Beef Jerky — Restaurant in Albuquerque

So eveyone kept talking about how this place was so good and that the burritos were huge. Well ok my family and I decided that we would go try this place out and see...well we go an i give credit for the size of the burritos. I start to place my order the cashier explains to me the size of the fries for my kids and theres only a small size unless I get chili fries so I tell the cashier I will take the chili fries put the chili on the side so plain fries and I proceed my order i get a burger combo and so so she proceeds to cash me out and than yells back burger combo the cooks yells back there's no more buns oh ok so in place I decided to get a lunch platter. So than I'm waiting patiently for my food you know a good twenty-five to thirty minutes and than i get my food and go back to my car to check my food and they didnt complete my order so I go back in side and let the lady who brought my food out to me that I was missing my fries and she tells me I will be right back and I had to wait another 5 minutes for her to bring out my plain fries that were in a small box than finally I get home to eat and wow very unsatisfying. The carne A burrito I ordered had huge chucks it was not good it had no cheese in my burrito I order four bean and cheese. Burritos and the only part of the burrito that had cheese was the first bite maybe the last bite as well im disappointed cause my first and last experience was horrible its also not cheap to buy out for a big family so I would of hoped it would be like people...

Giving two stars because I love them usually. Sadly this time I got a very cold burrito & chicharrones. I ordered two of the 1/4 lb chicharrones & got one. Ok cool that’s fine let me just eat my meal & I usually love their food so much! First bite my mom & I took of our posole we looked at each other…. This is not the normal level of cooking I get from BJC. Usually the meat is falling apart full of flavor with soft corn. This time it’s bland watery broth & hard corn that hasn’t popped or been cooked enough! My mom got a bone or something hard in hers.. she threw both of our posole to cook for an hour more & im not sure it’s even worth it now that I’ve waited to cook my own meal. When I eat out rarely , I may add, I expect the best from my fav restaurants. Food is something that should never lose quality ! Not sure if we may even get sick.the burrito like I said was cold & unappetizing sadly. We usually get delicious fresh bread with our posole - this time we get squished up tortillas- we don’t eat tortilla much so that will be thrown. A lot of stuff changed since we last ate here & not sure if it’s due to covid or short staffing or new management I don’t know but I want my old beef jerky company back! I bragged on this place constantly! Taking peoples orders & cooking may seem so unimportant to some but regardless what we do we need to take pride in it. Unfortunately, I have to change my review from a couple years prior. This used to be my favorite place to get a burrito by far in all of Albuquerque. They moved to a new location. Parking is awful. But my biggest complaint is the burritos look like they're about 2/3 of the size if not smaller than they used to be and they're far more expensive. I really really like the chile here. Like my favorite chile in town. I ordered a bean burrito with chicharones and green. The beans were barely even warm. I didn't really taste or see hardly any chili and usually the Chile is hot and delicious and inside the burrito pretty liberally and there was like maybe a small ladle if even that... AND I asked for extra chile... They messed up my tacos, had the wrong meat, waited 40 minutes for them to be wrong! then another 15 to get the correct order, and they forgot the chile on them. And the tacos are much smaller than they used to be, they're like mini tacos, and cost way more. I also ordered 1/2 lb of chicharrones, I used to get a ramekin of red Chile, now they're saying that you don't get Chile with them, only with the plates. Completely different experience that I'm used to and very disappointed with the quality and size of the food. I don't think I'll be going back after this.
