Had the best time on @skyrailway’s New Mexico Ale Trail yesterday with @marblebrewery as their featured brewery! We sampled five of Marble Brewery’s beers: 🍺 Double White 🍺 Cerveza 🍺 Desert Fog 🍺 Lemonade Lager 🍺 Guava Wheat We all got a ticket for a full beer and I went with my go-to, Double White, but I will be picking up some Guava Wheat because that was SO tasty! Sky Railway is going to be doing another New Mexico Ale Trail in two weeks on Saturday, August 27, this time with Santa Fe’s @secondstreetbrewery! #SkyRailway #MarbleBrewery

Great Albuquerque brewery with multiple locations around the city. The downtown location has some of the most friendly and helpful brewery bartenders I’ve ever encountered. Shout out to Joel who found out I was from out of town and gave me recs of some of his favorite local places—what a brand amabassador for Marble Brewing! My only complaint—I visited two locations and both were “out” of brewery stickers. That’s a major downer for someone who visits hundreds of breweries and collects them as souvenirs from my visit. I don’t mind paying for one if it ensures it stays in stock.

I loved the place, the decoration, the ambiance… and the beer. My favorite was the Bock n’a Half, my least favorite was the Dayghost. Keep in mind that when is about drinks, we all have different opinions and that what could be delicious for me, might not be for you. I definitely will go back and try another flight. There was a food truck and it got packed rapidly after I arrived. Staff is friendly and patient, and they seem to get along well, which adds to the nice environment.

I went to this place four separate times over a period of a couple of months while in ABQ for business. I'm certain that four visits is a more-than-fair sample size for me to post a review.

I concluded that this place does not deserve anyone's time or money, so let's go over the reasons why you should avoid it:

  1. The beers are terrible. The Red is too hoppy, the White is too sweet and 7% ABV for no valid reason, and the Gose ales all taste the same (bad). The only decent beer (the State Fair) is seasonal and can only.

  2. The beer limits. What are they? No idea, they aren't posted anywhere or made clear to patrons, and there is no standard of enforcement. You could be cut off at 4, 3, 2, 1... if you're the wrong ethnicity, it could be 0 (a full-time employee of the brewery told me privately that the beer limits are in place primarily to discourage the patronage of Native Americans).

  3. The service. This place can't decide if it's full service or not. No server is assigned to your table, there are just rovers going around. If your beer is full, someone will bother you every other minute. When you're ready for another round, there will be no server in sight, and you'll have to go to the bar.

  4. The business hours. The posted closing time is bogus, they stop pouring an hour beforehand and tell everyone to leave. I've never been to another bar like that.

  5. The management. On my final visit, I had closed my tab and was standing outside the perimeter fence on public property waiting for a ride. A man claiming to be a manager of the brewery approached and confronted me in a threatening, thug-like manner. He demanded to know if I was the guy who had been cursing out his servers. I had NO IDEA what he was talking about, it was a case of mistaken identity.

I attempted to ignore him and avoid the confrontation by moving across the street. But the guy kept stalking after me, so I gave up on my ride and walked to my hotel two miles away through Martinez Town late at night. My ABQ friends later told me that was an insane thing to do, and I was lucky to still be alive. But I didn't have a choice, it was something I was forced into.

That is the only time in my life that an employee of an establishment that I've patronized has confronted and threatened me, and it will trouble me for a long time. And even before that incident, I had never felt less welcome in a Public House in my life. This place is a bad vibe all around.

So why did I go there four times? Sadly, the place succeeds because there just aren't any other nearby options. But that's still no reason to go there.

There are other breweries in ABQ that I've visited, where I was treated quite well and had a far better experience. I won't name them here because this is a fair and accurate review, not a shill for a competitor. But the other breweries are not hard to find, just give it a little effort.

To all beer lover's: AVOID THIS PLACE, it is an insult...

Incredible location. Went there this past Friday and met with some friends. I got there around 730 and my gf met up 2 hrs later... Being they had a 3 beer limit, I was sure to only have 2 before my gf got there so I could atleast enjoy one beer with her. I was with about 7 people... I probably went to the bar 5 or 6 times with my buddies. But only purchased 2 beers. When my gf arrived I went for my 3rd beer and was denied.. I was appalled at first and tried getting my third beer, they said no.. so not a big arguer, I walked away. My gf was letting my sip her beer she just got, one I had never tried... The manager must have followed me, being our group was on the opposite side of the bar... Took my girls beer out of my hands and kicked me out... I told him I didn't understand, I was being belligerent nor drunk, he agreed I wasn't but said rules are rules and kicked me out. My gf never finished her first beer she paid for. She was only there for maybe 15 min before the manager who's name starts with a P followed me, singled me out, and kicked me out. I have never been kicked out of a bar before. And with the incredible location they have, that really makes me sad. I don't feel I deserved that at all. I understand the logic of the rule but to single someone out who wasn't even being belligerent is wrong. I won't go back there. I wont bring my friends. Their beer selection is hit or miss anyways. If I find out that manager no longer works there... I will return. Even the other bouncers were lost and confused. My friends didn't even know what happened...that's how out of control I was... Makes me so bummed and makes me feel as if I was being singled out and discriminated against....

Last weekend we came for an event on the patio. It was crowded beyond belief, but that's not what my review is about.

I'm absolutely appalled at the lack of response to a patron being hit by a car directly outside of marble by a patron that had just left the bar. Considering many people here are regulars, management could have been more helpful. It took over 30 minutes for me to get the attention of a bartender then I waited even longer to get a manager.

Over serving customers is a huge problem on busy days. The people at the door should be ensuring people leaving are not over-intoxicated or driving.

The driver of a blue Nissan Titan acknowledge they didn't see my friend at all. They did stop briefly, but took off driving. The male driver's mirror broke from the impact and his tires ran over her foot. Had she not jumped out of the way and ran, he likely could have killed her as he was going way to fast and didn't stop at the sign.

As a former server, I know how my previous jobs would have reacted and re-evaluated everything we were doing. We would have paused service, checked out how everyone was doing to ensure no more people were serving too much, addressed the door people about what to look for, and also seen if patrons witnessed anything. We would have even pulled camera footage to look for the person. Marble did nothing, they basically just said are you okay. I called the police and it was sad the response from an establishment that wants you to respect their drinking limits.

I love the beer here, but at 9 months pregnant I'm not drinking and was clearly sober when this even occurred. I hope that management has better training and responses should this ever...
