Wells Park — Attraction in Albuquerque

Great playground for kids, my son loves playing here. Our dog loves running around the dog area. BUT, I’ve gone here twice in the morning, and there are homeless people sleeping around everywhere, there was 3-4 intoxicated homeless people inside the big double slide structure made for kids as I’m typing this. This place needs monitoring overnight to keep these people out of this nice place. I just saw a family of four park and walk in the playground area with the little girl wanting to play and they turned right back around after seeing multiple people sleeping on the grounds and hearing the group up in the playground structure. This park is very cool. All the equipment is very new and its slides are very tall. It is next to a community center which has indoor activities and also a splash pad so there are lots of things to do. My main worry is that it is in a rough part of town. During the day there are always a lot of people there so it is fun and safe, but we found evidence that homeless people were sleeping in the structures at night. Hopefully this park will stay...

This park is my kiddos new favorite park in Albuquerque!! It has all the fun things for the whole family to enjoy. A decent size dog park for little and big pups. A pickleball court, a rollerskating area, a workout area, lots of fun play structures and swings, and the community center next door has a splash pad.
