Usekwu Foods — Restaurant in Four Corners States

Great food, but the experience needs work

We were excited to try this place after hearing good things by word of mouth. We called ahead to place our order—per their recommendation—and were told it would be ready in an hour. We arrived 1.5 hours later (12:30pm), only to learn it’s not a traditional restaurant and still had to wait another two hours (2pm) for a partial order. Unfortunately, when we got home, half the soup had spilled due to poor packaging.

The food itself was delicious, but the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Communication could be clearer, and packaging—especially for soup—needs improvement. Reducing the daily menu might help streamline operations and improve service.

Also worth noting: the business operates via Cash App, Zelle, or cash only, and we didn’t see any posted food handler or business licenses. While it’s great to see family involvement, we did notice teens helping with food prep, and it wasn’t clear whether proper food safety certifications are in place.

Ohh! You have no idea. If you've just stumbled upon this review, by me, before heading to Usekwu foods and loading your stomach, perhaps you want to head over there before you complete reading. No kidding, the food as taste original, no difference like it was prepared at home in Nigeria. I won't name my favorite dish from Usekwu foods as I do not want any competition in its availability to me alone 😊. Describing the food as delicious won't do it justice, you have to try it for yourself. It doesn't matter which dish you get, all are finger licking great. Besides the food, the service and atmosphere is 2nd to non, and this is not an exaggeration. This was literally the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant. They literally have the wrong address on their website so it sent me to their house, then the lady gave me an address that I called them and I asked them where they’re located. They tell me they don’t know where I am The address that they sent me. The first time was 30 minutes away from the second address and 10 minutes away from the other address by this point I have been driving all day coming from El Paso.
