New Mexico Piñon Coffee — Restaurant in Albuquerque

Girlfriend and I are going around finding different coffee shops to see how we like them, how they compare, and have developed our own rating system. This shop has definitely become one of our most favorites! The unique idea with coffee ice cubes in the iced and freeze drinks and innovative flavors of coffee and choice of regular piñon coffee. The feel of the little shop, small but still felt roomy, comforting, and inviting to sit stay and spend some time with a friend and such. Then the coffee itself was delicious too, very flavorful. I asked the women working some questions too see her coffee knowledge and she had coffee 101 down to the T, so that made me happy to know she knew what she was doing. The apperal was on sale at the time and was honestly quite tempting. All except the growlers and cold brew refill prices, those seemed quite high because i have a few growlers for beer, soda, and coffee and this place was the highest price I've seen compared to it all. First time coming to their main location! Accidentally went to the office location last time. They had excellent service, did realize she had a line going but told us she would be with us shortly, despite being on her own, she was surprisingly fast. Definitely management material from the bit that I witnessed! When she got to us, she took our order swiftly and kindly.

My brother ordered a basic frozen caramel latte and I ordered the frozen limited edition blueberry cobbler latte with soy instead of milk, which I appreciate as someone with a pretty serious case of lactose intolerance.

I love to visit local coffee shops in town and while traveling and Pinon Coffee House is one of my favorites, especially this location! I come in often and the staff is always happy and friendly. They remember my order which makes me feel special. My favorites are Honey Lavender Latte (iced), Biscochito Latte, and the Golden Medicine Ball. I recommend Pinon to coworkers, relatives, and visitors from out of state, they all give great feedback therefore I will continue to recommend. The coffee packs and merchandise are great for gifts as they represent New Mexico. I prefer to keep things local, so Starbucks tends to be last on my list of recommendations. Oh one last thing this location is super dog friendly. They treat my dog like he's one of the regulars. He loves the pup cups! Which are also better than the others we've received with fresh baked dog treats...
