Before the below data dump, my tea was quality, and my spouse described her mocha as "fantastic." The two stars are for the following:

They offer non-dairy milk options, but charge significantly for them. A 16oz iced latte is $6.25, but to sub non-dairy (oat or almond) is $1.50. That's nearly a 25% upcharge for what is easily only 8 or 9oz of liquid. Consider about 2oz for a double espresso, 1oz for any syrup, and you've got 13oz of space. I observed them filling the cup 1/3 with ice, so about 5oz of ice volume.

Considering a 48oz bottle of Califia Oat Milk costs approximately $4 at most WalMarts, thats only $0.0833/oz. That means 8oz costs a consumer $0.67. WalMart charges $2.84 for a gallon (128oz) of house brand whole milk, or $0.02/oz, meaning 8oz for $0.16. That's a net difference of $0.51. Even understanding differences in distribution cost and availability, they use Califia Barista products which retail online for approximately $0.09-0.12/oz. There cannot be a significant overhead for them to stock and utilize non-dairy products.

It may seem petty to comment on the cost of non dairy options, but for those of us with lactose intolerance it comes down to paying significantly more for a coffee, suffering, or...

The location is beautiful and the ambience they have cultivated is welcoming. It makes you want to grab a seat and sit for a while. The service is very friendly and upbeat! It feels like a good vibe to start your day. I ordered a drip coffee for my mom and an iced tea for myself. The coffee had a full flavor, strong but, not bitter (per my mom). 😁 The iced Earl grey tea was perfection without needing any sweetener. I LOVE that they offer all their teas hot or cold. I'm not a big coffee drinker and I prefer iced tea over hot tea. Most places you go they offer a nice selection of hot teas but, only a basic iced black tea. That's very boring so I REALLY loved that they offered all of their teas hot or iced. I can't wait to try all of them AND I think I need to get one of their gorgeous travel mugs! Oh, and don't get me started on their T-shirts!!! I have the green yucca one and not only is it lovely, it is the softest, most comfortable thing to wear! It has quickly become my favorite item of clothing! You seriously need to...

Customer service was okay but the chai or coffee latte were sub par. Who puts milk in coffee but not sugar? The cups fell apart after 15 minutes of being filled with a hot liquid and that might explain the two cup method I saw them using. The lid cannot be replaced if you have to open your lid to add sugar to the coffee. I don't reccomend this coffee shop for takeout. At least if the tea spills it will spill in their A.O. and not spill in my car. I will be returning to the sawmill but not to this coffee shop. Starbucks is a way better organization yet they are also a horrible coffee shop. Pinon coffee has better coffee and they only serve...

Baristas that know their stuff! They use beans from local NM roasters which is a treat as a traveller. I had the fortune of stopping by during a lull and talked with them about beans and roasts for a good ten minutes! I heard great things about their lattes but went for the pour over with their Ethiopian bean and was not disappointed. Do yourself a favor and get your morning coffee or afternoon pick-me-up from this amazing establishment inside the Sawmill. When your barista can tell you the day your beans were roasted, the tasting notes, and vibe with you about all things coffee, you know you went to the right place!
