When you dine out you expect it to be in a pleasant friendly environment. Our waitresses name was Alexis and three of us had lunch in a nearly empty restraunt today. My mom ordered breakfast and my sister and I had Rueben sandwiches with soup and she had a salad. Their were two waitresses a cook and a older man who seemed to be taking a long break at a table next to the kitchen. He was watching T.V. on his phone and had a name tag on his shirt and was conversing with the workers. While waiting for our food I kept hearing our waitress talking with the young cook. She kept saying eww , gross....thats gross and laughing with the cook. Not sure what was so gross when he was supposedly preparing our food.Soon Afterwards she came out with our food in the most serious manner as the cook stood and watched. When I looked towards him and acknowledged his stare he then proceeded to the restroom. After he exited the restroom he continued to watch with the waitresses then they disappeared in the kitchen. It was suddenly very quiet so I walked to the bathroom and as I passed the kitchen witnessed all three at the other end talking and laughing. Me not having a good feeling didn't touch my food at all. You all read what happened so I wonder if the same happened to you if you would continue eating. Its a shame that people cannot even enjoy a meal together without inconsiderate workers with no work ethics messing up your day. They simply do not care about customer service yet expect to get paid. Anyway if your eating lunch on their shift I wouldn't recomend it. I'm sure this is one of many Albuquerque restraunts that hire people who could care less about your food, it's preparation and most of all your...

Sympathetic staff after a hellish day!

Had a really crappy day. Flew back from WA state, got held up in hurricane weather, flights were scary too because of that, all-in-all trip took about 12 hrs. Then got home to find my cats both sick and had to take them to emergency vet clinic. When everything was said and done I hadn't eaten in 12 hrs and me and my wife were just done w the day.

That's where Village In came in, as we wanted nothing more than comfort food. The food was delicious and fresh. All the produce was crisp and our snadwiches we're great. The staff is what really earned them 5 sars tho. They checked on us often and made sure we were ok. The manager made sure we knew he didn't forget about us and our food would be out shortly. Our water was never more than half empty. But most of all, as we try and eat healthy I informed our waitress (Anja) that altho their pie looked delicious and they had my favorite (peanut butter cup) we just couldn't. She was attentive and noticed that we had a hellish day.

After we paid and were on our way out she chased us down from the kitchen. One slice of, you guessed it, peanut butter cup pie in a to go container in her hand. She told us she was sorry our day sucked but hopefully this would help make it a little better, and it would be on the house. I tried to protest but she refused claiming it was less unhealthy if we share a slice.

Anja, the pie was amazing and you are too. Thanks for turning our night around! 5...

Today I had the pleasure of sitting down for breakfast. In this establishment. Although the meal was not well made at least the attempt was there. In preparation and presentation. To add a meal I order for my child the plate was so hot to the touch I had to keep it away for about 8 mins til they finally brought the scrambled egg that was ordered at the same time as his Mac and Cheese with fries. And the rest of the meal got cold while the plate was not funny how that worked. My partner/ love/ extension had as well received a meal with what was supposed to be steamed broccoli was fresh and uncooked.

In addition don't substitute or change the meals for they will over compensate to adjust the meal given which shouldn't be the case, yet at this point it was sadly. The only one who enjoyed there meal was my son.

The experience was great at the time we left. The server was nice at this point making kind suggestions, and made the attempt to regain the experience to that affect I appreciate our server. For the cooperation & and it's holding to the standards of cleanliness I'd say needs to be reassessed. Had to request sanitizer for using the card Machine and the tiny human said seriously for asking to keep myself safe in an uncertain world rattled in COVID-19...

What happened today couldn't have been scripted. We went in as the lunch rush was finishing. I ordered a California skillet with bacon on the side. My SO got a chorizo skillet. When the food came, my food had bacon on it. My SO saw it, and it was sent back. When it came out again, we found two very small pieces of meat in it. I sent it back again, though in retrospect, it was only 2 very small pieces. So I got some French toast. Those were very good. So they did try and fix their mistakes, but they never took the bacon off the bill. Staff was friendly and helpful. I guess a vegetarian might be aware that the cooks use the same tools for the meat food as well as vegetarian food and small pieces might get into the vegetarian dish.

This visit started a bit rocky. At first it seemed to take forever for anyone to acknowledge us finally a guy who wasn't our waiter came over and asked what we wanted to drink. When the waitress finally came she could tell I was bugged at the service. I thought the visit would get worse it did by the time I got my food there was a hair in it I chose not to send my food back it took long enough to get it so I picked out the specific piece and ate my food I did mention it when she brought the check and the manager took the meal off the ticket I did still have the piece to show and I did have a picture on my phone. The way they handled that is the reason they get 4 stars otherwise it was gonna be a lot less.

Village Inn is open, as of March 11th when we visited. Every other booth was closed, but the tables were spaced about 6 feet apart. Every table was getting occupied as we left and the lobby was pretty crowded with guests waiting. I don't think the manager I'd following covid guidelines of 33% occupancy. The food was good as ever, I had a side of green Chile with my eggs and it was as hot as any Mexican restaurant I've been to! The coffee is weak, but hot! The service was really good compared to some more expensive restaurants I've eaten at lately, she came around at least 4 times making sure we were doing fine! Recommended!
