BATHROOM DOOR DOESN'T LOCK PROPERLY, MANAGEMENT DOESN'T CARE
I was washing my hands when a guy walked in because the door hadn't actually locked. So I told a manager, who replied,
"Yeah, we've gotten a lot of complaints about that. We put in a ticket, but unfortunately that's just how it is right now."
This is obviously an egregiously unacceptable answer. I suggested he put up a sign, but he clearly didn't care to. I called corporate, but they said it would take several days for the district manager to get back with me. The next day, I brought my own sign: "THIS DOOR IS NOT LOCKING PROPERLY; A ticket has been submitted for its repair". I asked a different manager to put it up. This manager said they hadn't done it because they aren't allowed to put up unofficial signs (which... given the circumstances, who cares?), but that an exception could be made this time. The manager took the sign and taped it up. At first I felt the issue had been resolved, but then I later saw the manager had put it in a place that was NOT straightforward, where people would be unlikely to look. Who knows if it's even still there.
This location clearly does not value their customers' safety or privacy if that's the best they're willing to do for this situation.
UPDATE-- RESPONSE TO OWNER'S (unhelpful/robotic) COMMENT: I already used the Contact Us page (in addition to calling corporate), but after a week, I've received no indication that the lock has been fixed or a proper (easily visible) sign has been put up. This is a safety issue that should've been addressed the minute the first customer complained about the lock, but your store has shown repeated disregard for your...
Read moreI’m a regular customer at both Starbucks locations but I will no longer come to this one. They tried to take advantage of me and it really upsets me. One of the girls heard my order while she was making drinks came up to the register and told the guy to charge me for breve cream. Well first of I don’t want them to add my cream, I use the cream at the sugar station. I also understand that over four ounce they have to charge. Well my drink never has four ounces left for cream. Ounce they add the espresso and vanilla and ice there is only maybe two ounces left for cream. I order a quad shot in a venti cup with ice and six shots of vanilla. Then I add my own cream at the milk bar. It really upset me that she would go out of her way to try and over charge me for something. I could understand if I had four ounces left in my cup for the cream but I don’t. My cup is almost full once they add the ice. I ended up just leaving and not using any of yalls cream. I went home and added my own cream since it’s such a big problem to use yalls cream at the free sugar station. I wonder if she tries to charge customers for using more than one sugar packet. I know I will never go to the Alcoa Starbucks again. This would have never happened at the maryville location. They are so caring and kind hearted employees there. Alcoa location seems like everyone is angry all the time...
Read moreSo I drove through the Alcoa Highway, Starbucks this morning and was severely disappointed! Being an employee of Starbucks, I have perhaps high expectations of the service and quality of my coffee. I don’t know what they did to my brown sugar, oat milk, shaken, espresso, with my three pumps of white mocha, But it tasted horrible. It tasted bitter and the nastiness of the espresso, overwhelmed my favorite combination of flavors, which is really quite incredible. I don’t know if they are serving dead shots at that Starbucks or what the deal is, but I was also disappointed with the service when I forgot to ask for a Splash of vanilla sweet cream and was told that it would be $1.25 extra for a splash. I could understand if I was getting my oat milk replaced with sweet cream, but it was the way the up charge was presented, and the baristas spoke to me That completely turned me off to this location. I will never be going back to this...
