Las Quesadillas Houston — Restaurant in Aldine

Should be called Los tacos. Food was ok as it seemed to be made by hand, meaning it did not come out of a can. I was expecting quesadillas (cheese oozing from out of the tortillas as is in their name), but it was basically a taco sprinkled with cheese, no oozing or overflow of any kind. I guess I'm not familiar with Mexican quesadillas, more with Texmex. The fajita meat was not marinated and lacked flavor and lacked abundance. The shrimp quesadilla (taco) was ok, again, sprinkles of cheese. Pork chicharron quesadilla (taco) had a little bit more flavor, nothing impressive. Most of the flavor came from the basic green and red sauces. The taco want to be quesadilla filling came from the thick maza corn tortilla, it was fresh and different. Aguas frescas were good. I frown on giving a just ok review for a non franchise but it should have a higher bar if they want to survive. No atmosphere really, just a few tables and chairs, that's fine; what do you expect for a counter order. Cashier was friendly and helpful but food preparer was oblivious to the food satisfaction. 27 bucks for 4 tacos and two drinks. I should have provided photos but did not think of it at the time as I was too hungry to review at the time. I was appreciative of a meal during these Houston...

Went there when they first opened. The service was TERRIBLE. The cooks and manager acted like they were doing you a favor. They had a snotty, know it all attitude. But wait....there's more! It took 56 MINUTES to get 6 quesadillas to go. 56 MINUTES! The owner came in and cleaned the cash register, didn't talk to customers, said a few words to the manager, and left. The manager was on some social media since the time we arrived to the time we left. The 2 ladies preparing the food were asked questions by patrons and didn't answer or pointed to the manager. Oh, and a/c was not on, in summer. I noticed ALL the other tables were getting their quesadillas 1 or 2 at a time with over 10 minute wait between them. Customers were getting frustrated with some eating, some finished eating and some still hadn't eaten...all in the same table. On a good note, the quesadillas were done right. I'll return soon and see if anything has changed. Hopefully it has because this place has a good location, nice interior, and...

I had been calling for about an hour before coming since I wanted to place a to go order. I get no answer so I finally get time and go. I ask them for the phone number thinking I had the wrong number so they give it to me and I call from the location (I had the same number) They let it ring and ring and don't answer it. When I confront them they actually act surprised I had the audacity to do this. While I'm at the location another group of ladies start complaining that they've been waiting for over 30 minutes for an order. They're on lunch break and this lady at the register actually tells them, well that's just the way it is here you have to have patience. It's unacceptable and I won't be coming back...how are you going to act like you're more important then...
