I came to have breakfast with my family 04/23/25 and I have to admit that the great service continues and the delicious food keeps being made. On this morning Cam was our server and I must say that he is a very great server. He had such a great attitude very polite and extremely tentative. Once we received our food and began to eat I noticed that in the kitchen there was a young man in training. What really stood out to me about this was that there was 2 young ladies that were also at the grill training this young man. It amazes me how Candace and Taylor had this amazing energy and they both came together as a team and teach this young man the ropes around the kitchen. They both kept positive they had such great attitudes and you can tell they were having a great time teaching him and still making food for customers that where there. I love coming here because this location is always full of positive energy and the food is always great. I highly recommend this location and I look forward in returning.
This Waffle House on Rankin is by far the best location in Houston. To start off this location has plenty of parking and the grounds are very clean. Next, inside is very clean and the employees are extremely welcoming they are very happy and kind. The lady that took my order was very helpful she took our order correctly and she was just excited about being at work she didn't have an attitude she didn't look bored or look miserable for being there....and to be honest all 5 female employees that were there had a very positive attitude and maintained smiles on their face. I received my to go order and I didn't wait long for it. When I got to my car and checked my order...everything was there and nothing was missing. My food was cooked to perfection and it was mighty delicious. My eggs were very fluffy my bacon was very delicious and cooked perfectly my ham was very good not dry at all my hashbrowns were very toasty on top but under that toastiness was the finger licking magic and that's how hashbrowns should be cooked and last but no least my waffle was a homerun. I highly recommend this location for great service great attitudes and very very...
Read moreAVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST!!! Absolutely the worst service you can find anywhere, rude employees, many employees violating the health code, and food served was nowhere in the same region as Waffle House quality not standard. I was not aware that chewing gum, no smacking your gum rather while you cook was passed by the health department. Dejia was not happy to be at work, tried serving us burnt waffles and made sure she walked circles before completing any task as to make sure it took longer than it should have. Also, could have swore that when refilling drinks that a container of the drink is to be brought to the guest table to refill instead of taking the guests beverage out of site wherever to refill it. This store was WAY over staffed. The door Corp, Kevin, found his time better used standing around like most everyone else in this instance, that instead of cleaning and prepping the restaurant for guests to just stand around. After being taken to our table and seated, we were asked to move so that the table and floor underneath could be cleaned. Why would you inconvenience the guest when you have eight employees standing around doing nothing but gossiping?! And don't expect a smile at this...
Read moreThis young guy took my order and then came back over and told me that the cook was currently indisposed, doing an interview with someone who wants to work, so it might be 5 or 10 minutes before he can start cooking. He asked if that was OK. I was baffled and told him that we'll see. Luckily, it only took about three minutes until my food was cooking.
The area is a little "sus," but it's close to my new job and I felt like waffles. I ordered the Patty Melt Hashbrown Bowl (which consists of Large Hashbrowns, Two Slices of Melted American Cheese; Angus Beef & Grilled Onions) and one of their waffles. The bowl was hearty, although I belive that they could use a cheese that melts and not merely clump up. I had to do a bit of mixing to get it to play well with the hashbrowns. The waffle wasn't your typical waffle, as it had the restaurant name on it and it was rather thin.
I've been back three times, in two weeks, and have tried the Cheesesteak Hashbrown Bowl, as well as the Texas Cheesesteak Melt. They were also pretty filling and tasted good. This will be my "go to" spot when I can't make it up to I-45's larger...
