Disappointed with Recent Visit ā Poor Service and Incorrect Order
I've been to Sardi's many times to order lunch, and most of the time I've received the correct takeout order without issues. However, this past Friday was a completely different and disappointing experience.
When I arrived, I was assisted by two male staff membersāone was handling the chicken, and the other was serving the sides. I politely asked if they could put the rice and beans in a separate container so they wouldnāt get mixed with the chicken. The man immediately said no. I asked again, nicely, and instead of helping, they spoke to each other in a dismissive tone and gave me a very small portion of rice and beans in a tiny white plastic containerāsomething more suited for a dipping sauce or a child's side, definitely not for a regular meal.
When I got to the register, the cashier looked surprised when she saw how small the container was. She glanced over at the two male employees but said nothing. It was clear she knew something wasnāt right. She should have corrected the issue right there but chose not to. Only as I was walking out did I hear her ask the two men why they had done that.
Itās disappointing that they didnāt serve the order correctly, especially when I ordered in Spanishāwhat would have happened if I had ordered in English? This experience really left a bad impression, and sadly, I think Iāll be staying away from this Sardiās location. Iāll be looking for another rotisserie chicken place that actually respects the customer's request and serves the order right....

Clearly they DO NOT Care about the costumers experience at all because I was never offer anything from their part to make things better. Last time I ever frequent any of their restaurants. I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the service I received. I placed an order over the phone for chicharrón de pollo and arrived approximately 18 minutes later, only to be told that my order was still being prepared. After waiting an additional 15 minutes, I asked for an estimated time of completion, but the staff member assisting me stated that she could not provide one and then walked away.
At that point, I requested a refund. The employee, who claimed to be the assistant manager, rolled her eyes in response. When I asked for the corporate contact information, she first stated that there was no corporate office, then later changed her response to say she could not provide it.
This experience was extremely frustrating due to the long wait time, lack of communication, and unprofessional attitude of the staff. I have always enjoyed Sardiās, but this visit was disappointing. Last time I...

The young man who took my order was so nice, attentive, made me feel welcome. The lady who completed my order & collected my payment was so kind and patient, answered all of my questions and took the time to explain their condiments/sauces. The portions were HUGE, the food was hot and fresh even though it was near the end of the day. The chicken was EXCELLENT....just so tasty and mouthwatering. The price for 1/2 chicken with 2 sides and a house salad was extremely reasonable. I ate in the dining room, and even though it reached closing time, I never felt me being there was an imposition to them. The staff was gracious and made me feel valued. When you mix great food with great people, THAT is what makes a place totally great. I am a Flight Attendant, so I'm in many different places, and this by far is at the top of my favorite list.
