Twisted Rose — Restaurant in Algonquin

We tried going there for lunch on 2 different occasions only to find the place closed both times. The sign outside says they open at 2 pm and the website says they open at 3 pm so I called to see why they were closed and I was told they don't get enough people for the lunch crowd so they aren't serving lunch anymore. If that's the case fine but then update your website and sign outside with the new hours. We tried going there one more time for dinner on a Saturday and even called before we left to make sure they were open, when we got there we noticed the sign outside now said bar open at 4 pm dinner at 5 pm. and as we are sitting at a table waiting the be served the bartender came over and asked if we were there for dinner, we said yes and she told us that the cook wasn't there and that she didn't know when he would be there, I don't know how anyone can run a business this way and expect to stay in business. On the other hand though if you're looking for a place to drink and play pool they seemed to be catering more towards that crowd than the restaurant area of...

We just picked up my daughter from a school volleyball tournament. It was getting late and everything close was closed. I saw the kitchen was open until 11 PM and since it was a local restaurant and seemed to be around for a while we would give it a shot.

My pork chops were average tasting. Tender but just average. My mashed potatoes were supposed to be garlic mashed No taste of garlic eat all. The vegetables were carrots and green beans. I was scared I would not like them. I’m not a fan of cooked carrots. To my surprise I enjoyed those the most.

My wife ordered the cabbage rolls. She said they were very salty.

My daughter said her chicken sandwhich was good but they for got her ranch dressing.

we ordered a basket of fries which were not cooked almost raw! We also ordered a Quart of cream of chicken and rice soup. It was also disgusting.

I spent $72 on food for 3 people. No drinks. Kind of expensive for the quality and lack of taste. I would definitely not order from...

So I understand our DoorDash driver was late… BUT when received our pizza it was ice cold. But again late delivery driver, we’ll take that. Open the box to this… I’ve never seen a pizza with such little cheese. Covered with flour on the bottom. Decided to call and just inform them that we were disappointed. Of course, after waiting so long, we decided to eat some of the pizza, it’s was like eating flower dust. Coming from the food industry, I’ve NEVER talked to such rude people. Laughing about it, saying they saw the pizza and there was lots of cheese. Again just to inform them That we were disappointed, and the two people I spoke with were incredibly rude.
