….Eureka!

That’s what I wanted to say when I discovered the place..Eureka! …From the outside, you’d never guess this place existed. But once I stepped through the front door, I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was captivating, and, believe it or not, they backed it up with great food.

Our server, Carissa, was perfect through our Labor Day lunch!, so I tipped her generously—she earned it.

I kicked off the feast with a Mexican beer called Explorado Lager. I lost count of how many I had, but it was something special—fruity, as my date noted, and I have to agree. It was different, in the best way!

We shared a plate of slow-roasted pork nachos and a plate of wings, they were definitely worth it. I wrapped things up with the Napa chicken sandwich, which was spot on—the sauce was a perfect hit. Honestly, it felt like I was dining in a four-star restaurant. These folks really know their sauces.

Background Story

Will Adler and Jack Montero, childhood friends turned entrepreneurial duo, founded Eureka! in Napa Valley, driven by their shared love for California’s landscapes and culinary traditions. Will, an architect, and Jack, a chef with Michelin-star experience, combined their talents to create a restaurant that embodies the spirit of discovery. Eureka! features farm-to-table cuisine with modern twists, designed with a blend of rustic charm and contemporary elegance—a true celebration of California’s heritage in both food and design.

Eureka’s innovations lie in their seamless fusion of farm-to-table cuisine with modern culinary techniques, creating dishes that surprise and delight. Signature offerings like the “Gold Rush Burger” and the “Sequoia Salad” elevate classic flavors with local, seasonal ingredients. Their philosophy centers on discovery and creativity, celebrating California’s rich heritage while pushing culinary boundaries. Eureka! isn’t just about food; it’s about crafting an experience where every detail, from the architecture to the wine list, tells a story of innovation and a deep respect...

Light, Fresh, and Satisfying at Eureka! My recent lunch at Eureka was a delightful experience, hitting all the right notes for a light and satisfying midday meal. I opted for the grilled salmon salad with lemon vinaigrette, and it truly delivered. The salmon was cooked perfectly, flaky and moist, while the lemon vinaigrette provided a bright and zesty counterpoint without being overpowering. The accompanying vegetables – sweet cherry tomatoes, slightly crisp broccoli florets, subtly bitter endive, and creamy avocado slices – offered a wonderful variety of textures and flavors. Each component tasted fresh and contributed to a well-balanced and vibrant salad. To accompany my meal, I chose an Athletic Light non-alcoholic beer. I was pleasantly surprised by its impressive foamy head and genuinely light beer-style flavor. It was a refreshing and guilt-free choice that complemented the lightness of the salad perfectly. The ambiance of the restaurant was relaxed and airy. The low background music allowed for easy conversation, while the presence of televisions displaying sports channels offered a subtle buzz without being intrusive. The option of both indoor and outdoor seating is a definite plus, catering to different preferences and weather. Finally, I must commend the cleanliness of the facilities and the attentiveness of the wait staff. From being promptly seated to the efficient and friendly service throughout my meal, the staff ensured a pleasant and seamless dining experience. Overall, my lunch at Eureka was a winner. The fresh and flavorful grilled salmon salad, paired with the surprisingly good non-alcoholic beer, in a comfortable and well-maintained setting, makes this a spot I'd...

We have been coming to this restaurant since opening. Jessica is always beyond kind, caring, always has the most positive attitude and the biggest smile on her face, professional and always goes out of her way to make every customer feel as if they are the only person in that whole restaurant. Jessica is the reason my family, friends and I keep coming back to this amazing restaurant. Not only the food is 10/10 always, the atmosphere is 10/10 always, but what makes it extra special is Jessica and how she treats us like family every time we eat at this restaurant. Jessica always blesses our whole day with her kindness and we are forever grateful to her for that. Jessica deserves the highest praise and recognition. I have never been to a restaurant that makes me feel like home, but thanks to Jessica every time my family and I come to your restaurant we feel at home. Please share this recognition with Jessica as she truly deserves to know how amazing she is and how her act of kindness and making people feel special when eating at your restaurant means more than words can say. Thank you so very much Jessica for all you do, for all of your hard work, and for treating us like family! We love you and we will keep coming back to your amazing restaurant because of you! We need more beautiful souls like Jessica...

I’m not the type of person to leave a review after a single issue. I understand that mistakes can happen. But unfortunately, this isn’t the first or even the second time I’ve had a problem with orders from here, and this time was the final straw. My wife and I ordered two medium burgers for delivery. When the food arrived, we sat down to eat while watching TV. Distracted at first, I didn’t immediately notice the strange taste and texture. It took a couple of bites before I realized something was seriously wrong. The burger was literally raw. What I don’t understand is how two burgers, ordered at the same temperature, could be cooked so differently. The difference was extremely noticeable. I was really hungry and ended up throwing my meal away out of disgust. By the time I realized what had happened, it was too late to order anything else besides fast food since most places had closed. Even then, I wasn’t planning to write a review but what pushed me to do it was that I got sick. I threw up all night and felt horrible the next day. It took me two full days to recover. Please make sure your food is being cooked properly. Undercooked meat can make people seriously ill. This should never happen.

Holy Crap - a decent restaurant in Aliso Viejo?? My wife and I did a weekend lunch date here. Although it was 1pm on a Saturday, the place seemed empty (which was slightly scary being our first time here). Service was a bit slow TBH, but the food was AMAZING! I had the double smash burger and it was flawless! Like a home cooked double/double! Fries were decent too - price was $19, which is high, but worth it for the quality and quantity of food. My wife had the Cobb salad and she finished it, so it must have been great! One odd thing are the servers have handheld devices to pay - which is convenient, but awkward being that she's standing there in her cut-off shorts eye level with you while you're signing and leaving a tip. I'm a great tipper, but todays service was a bit slow for the busyness of the restaurant - the manager who randomly checked in on us had to refill our drinks 1/4 way into our meal. Looking forward to more great meals here, hopefully the service can catch up to the food quality
