Our experience at eggsquisite cafe today was anything but exquisite. We were notified that our table was ready before the previous customers had even left, and had to awkwardly stand in the middle of the aisle while we waited for the waiters to clean it. When we were given our menus, they were sticky and dirty, and there was still a bit of trash left from the people before us. The waiter took our order and we got our drinks fairly quickly(the coffee had coffee grounds in it) and then we waited. We waited for almost AN HOUR!! Absolutely absurd! We were given little to no updates on our food, and the manager appeared to be avoiding us. She finally talked to us and apologized around 45 minutes into us waiting, and gave us 20% off, but it doesnât excuse the fact that we had to wait for so long to receive our food. We eventually did receive our food, and the food was decent. Compared to past visits, it was a little worse than normal. The bread was overcooked, the bacon was burnt, and eggs were ordered fried but were served scrambled. It wouldnât have been a big deal if we didnât have to wait an HOUR for it. We were also offered some free pancakes by the manager, which we denied. But as we were getting ready to leave they brought it out anyways, which is just confusing. Why would we want pancakes after we were obviously already done and getting ready to leave? We just told the waiter to give the pancakes to another table.
Now I will say, the waiter is not at fault here. He was very nice and apologetic and he gave us refills and seemed to be just as confused as we were. Itâs obvious the management was not handling the situation properly. Weâve been to that location several times before, and the food and service has usually been alright, but this is a new low for them. Iâd recommend going to a different location, as their food is amazing and their service in other locations we have been to has been exquisite.
In summary, food was alright, wait was very long, management did not handle situation properly. Go to the...
Read moreThe last time I came to Texas to visit my girlfriend was last year for Thanksgiving. We looked at the place and ultimately decided not to go because I've always been wary of non-recognizable brands. Bad experiences have made me distrustful. Little did I know what a mistake that was when it came to this place. A few days ago, I came to Texas to see my now fiancée and this time we gave Eggsquisite Cafe a try...and I have absolutely no regrets. We've gone three times in the week I've been here, the first two we were served by a young lady named Michelle, and she was friendly, patient, very enthusiastic about her work and she definitely knows the menu. She was able to recommend to a couple of newcomers some amazing menu items that we now consider some of the best breakfast we've ever had. My first visit I had what was essentially a country platter, with sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, hashbrowns, and of course scrambled eggs. Simple, yet phenomenal. The second time I had a biscuits and gravy omelet. No, that is not a typo. It is literally biscuits stuffed inside of an omelet and smothered in gravy, and it is amazing. My fiancée had eggs benedict on day 1 and a very Tex-Mex inspired skillet breakfast on day 2. Even our day 3 breakfast burritos were awesome. Add to that, freshly squeezed orange juice, an array of hot sauces for those that love a little extra spice, they do whatever they can to cater to everyone. Don't bother going to Denny's or IHOP unless you get some kind of employee discount there. Go here instead, and ask for Michelle while you're at it. I guarantee you an...
Read moreToday is my second visit to Eggsquisite. On my first visit, I was impressed with the locale, the excellent food, the excellent and fast service, and mostly, with the fact that one of the owners checked on every table to ensure her clients were taken care of (this was on a Saturday at 7:30 am.) The locale is bright, ample, but cozy. The décor is simple, unobtrusive, yet elegant, classy. None of the tables I have sat on wobble, and they are perfectly clean; a fault I have seen in some of the most expensive places. You walk in, someone promptly comes to find you a table, someone then promptly comes to serve you, and in a few minutes, surprisingly few, your meal comes in, perfectly prepared. Eggs over-easy, not over or undercooked, the hash browns are perfectly golden, not greasy, but nice and crispy. The bacon is perfect in flavor and perfectly cooked. Gravy over biscuit is delicious, and to seal the deal, a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice and an excellent cup of dark coffee. The price is competitive, but why does the price matter when you get delicious food, excellent service, and a peaceful environment where you feel welcomed every time you walk in. Eggsquisite, keep doing what you are doing; you have the recipe for success: top-notch service, food of excellent taste and quality, and a welcoming atmosphere that will keep people coming in.
I have not seen something this good in a while. I am definitely trying out one of your lunch entrées one of these...
